I always try to maintain by diet but end up neglecting it, skip my exercise or sacrifice valuable hours of sleep to meet a deadline. But sooner I realized that to lead a professional career my personal and health suffered the consequences. I had already gained weight, depressed and tired and I am sure many of you will relate to it as you too would have neglected your health and fitness repeatedly in favor of your work or passion. But it you’re not in good health and satisfied with your looks, you won’t be able to enjoy what you accomplish.

Eating healthy is the priority when it comes to planning for a healthy lifestyle. If you don’t care for what you eat, you can never achieve a healthy life goal. Avoid eating fast food and unhealthy snacks all the time. Try having yogurt, Omelets, fruits or fresh juices or whole cereals at breakfast, soup or broth at noon, and steak or fish and veggies at dinner, with nuts, fruits, salads, or cheese strings as snacks between meals.
Try to focus on healthy foods or items that can just warm up or cook in minutes, take with you to work. Make several servings when your cook and freeze them to save time and have healthy meal options available when you are too busy or too tired.
We all have indulgence to bad habit and we should do something about it! It’s difficult to get rid of this indulgence but it’s not impossible either. Switch to dark chocolate, dry fruits and natural sweeteners like honey, stevia etc. and limit alcohol intake or smoking for a better lifestyle.

For example, consider standing instead of sitting at your desk, taking stairs instead of elevator and walking or cycling instead of driving. All these activities will help in your body exertion without realizing it.
