Working moms are struggling to balance their time with work and family, maintaining a tidy and healthy home is yet another case. With a career and family to take care of, house cleaning can be difficult. Home cleaning can sometimes be time consuming and strenuous. That’s why most moms especially those who are working resort to hiring household help to keep a healthy and tidy home for their family. Worry no more, with a guide for working mom cleaning schedule, keeping a clean home should never be a problem, not to mention you will be able to maximize your time. With easy to follow home cleaning tips you are on your way to a cleaner and more beautiful home and more time for your family.

Every working mom’s schedule isn’t going to be the same, but what is the same is the fact that they are mothers with families and want to see their families nourish positively while not going insane ourselves. Being a mother isn’t easy, and being a working mom, well, you get the picture! The number one thing all forgot while searching for that family balance was time management. At work, you have to manage your time to get projects done effectively and with being a working mom, it’s not really that different. Learning how to anticipate needs helps alleviate the “surprises” that our children and husbands seem to place before us. Planning ahead is a known life savior, and most of us know that, but most aren’t sure how.

Schedule

The first thing to do is to make schedules on what part of the house you are planning to clean. You don’t have to clean the entire house in a day. When you are so tight on time you can’t afford to keep track of your tasks. A schedule is actually good for the whole family. When everyone knows when you are available they should be able to treat your time with respect which will make it easier for you to handle your day. Small kids are just that and that’s why you need to make sure that you schedule time for all of your children. Don’t try to do many things at once. Either you will suffer from the kids will feel neglected. For instance, today you are scheduled to clean the kitchen and tomorrow the living room. By doing this it will be much easier for mothers to organize the house without consuming much of their time.

Get the kids involved

Teaching them to do simple chores like storing their toys after use or making their bed every morning. Your children’s involvement with simple house chores at an early age will not only teach them discipline but will also instill in them the importance of a clean environment. That’s like killing two birds with one stone. You have instilled good moral values in your children as well as kept a clean home.

Delegate Tasks

Learn to delegate tasks; get your family members involved. Assign tasks to each of your family members. You don’t have to carry all the responsibility of cleaning your home. Every family member should participate in house cleaning; like mopping the floor, wiping the furniture or cleaning the window. The involvement of each family member will not only ease the burden on your part but is also a good and fun way of spending quality time with them.

Learn to organize your clutter.

Try to organize everything and name them. Clear plastic storage boxes are readily available. Buying these will help you organize your clutter. Use these containers for your DVD/cd collection, picture albums or even clothes. For example, put all your t-shirts in one box and your children’s toys in another and don’t forget to label each box. In this way, you organize your belongings with less clutter.

Keep a running list of daily and weekly goals

Plan to succeed or plan to fail, as the saying goes. Without a directed schedule for your business, nothing will really get accomplished. Having a goal for the day will help to direct your focus and will give you a sense of accomplishment as the tasks are completed.

The same holds true for domestic issues, such as deep-cleaning the carpets before family arrives for their vacation. Having a schedule for both the professional and private side of your life is going to help keep the focus where it needs to be.

Plan your work schedule to fit their schedule so that nap time is when you can have those precious moments to dedicate to work tasks demanding uninterrupted focus. These tips for working moms are geared for the mother entrepreneur but can be applied to most families struggling with disorganization.
