The above narration intends to illustrate of an error that was once made by the narrator. During her young age, she got an assumption that, having some ink on her body would treat her best. She explains the moment she decided to have permanent mark as the most remarkable day in her life. However, the expectation of the narrator turns to disappointment after realizing that a mistake occurred in the drawing of the tattoo.

The fact that it is a permanent tattoo only means very minimal, or nil chances are available to make changes. A mistake will last on her body as long as she will leave. Her efforts to try and correct it ended up even destroying and adding more scars on the part where the ink was. Same cases will always apply in the human life, a mistake that was not intended will once occur and the chances to cover it up and trials to correct the error might end up even attracting more severe consequences. Later, the narrator is seen admitting to the mistake and even gaining the courage not to regret anymore. She is ready to live with it through her lifetime.

The Tender Bar.

The author, J.R Moehringer, base his story in a familiar plot, a bar. He is seen supporting the fact that a bar is a place where the mind will always find rest. Such indications are way much differing from the norm where many will always indicate that a bar is the primary source of evil in the modern life. However, the narrator clearly states that after the abandon he received from the father, he went out in search of a family, a home and also men. The thought of many that a bar is a nasty place are corrected by the author referring to Dickens as a special place where anyone who would walk in it would feel him/herself as special too.

As many would suggest, anyone who would base his life in such a place in this case a bar would end up being a failure. The above story directs us to a different conclusion, and the Dickens bar turned to be the base learning point of the narrator. He gathered a lot of information from the bar and applied the learnings in his life. Through interacting with many in Dickens, a lot of information was added to him. He is no regretting the fact that has spent most of his life in the bar since he has also learned and experienced a lot from the same place.

The Look.

The author in the text explains of his regrets on his wasted life as he thinks it is. The time spent in prison leaves him with the minor thoughts of whether life will ever get to normal again. His absence in the growth of her stepdaughters strikes him twice each time he thinks of them. He explains how he swallowed the bitter emotions once he was sentenced, and warn anybody who would dare mess with his feelings. The rejection from the society and also other individuals lead to more hurting of the wound in the heart. The above author is in the efforts to display and bring out his emotion to be realized and understood by others. He tries to express his personal bitterness. Through the effort, he wishes the rejection would end so that he can recover from the trauma he experienced while in prison.
