There is a saying that goes “money is the root of all evil” but is that really the case? Some people believe that money can buy happiness, and other people believe it cannot. When we see people who don’t have that much money, they often seem happier and more thankful for what they have. But rich people on the other hand stereotypically look very formal and stern. Money can help you find more happiness, so long as you know just what you can and can’t expect from it. According to science, there are 3 ways you can spend your money to become happier.
You’ll make yourself happier, as well as others Some people believe that money can buy happiness, but then surely winning the lottery will bring you all the money and happiness you’d ever need. Everyone has this expectation that when you win the lottery, your problems will all be magically solved and you’ll have all the money you’d ever need for the rest of our life. But that is in fact not what happens. When you win the lottery, friends, and family will change, they’ll beg you for money, and even if you give them some they’ll just ask for more, of course, most of them won’t, but sometimes some distant relatives come crawling back, talking about how close you were when you were younger. And most of the people who win the lottery, use all the money very fast and end up in debt. Many lottery winners struggle with suicide, depression, and divorce. Money can be one of the biggest sources of stress, and can arguably be the worst kind of stress.
According to the American Psychological Association, women, are more likely than men to report finances as a source of stress. High levels of financial stress can impact your health and happiness in many ways. It can affect your sleep and sleep deprivation can affect all aspects of your life, including marriage, work, and relationships. It can also contribute to depression. And in more extreme cases it can increase the likelihood of illnesses. Stress about money and finances appears to have a significant impact on many peoples’ lives. Some are putting their health care needs on hold because of financial concerns. Many people don’t go to the doctor when they need health care help because of financial concerns. Stress about money also affects relationships. Almost a third of adults with partners report that money is a major source of conflict in their relationship. In conclusion, it really depends on who gets the money, how they get the money, and how they spend the money. I think that for each person, there is a different amount of money that we need to be happy, but too much or too little money can both make a person miserable.
