The Problem of Child Abuse in Families

In Today’s modern era, the world is facing a biggest problem of child abuse in families by their parents or any of the family members. It is a mixture of physical, psychological and sexual torture. Children’s are molested on cultural issues, Lifestyle and many more reality aspects of life. They are often isolated by their families mainly in order to earn money at an early age. It is a syndrome or a disease which is spreading globally with full of it’s pace.

How can child abuse be detected?

According to 2011 census of world health organisation, the study reveals that the globe is facing more than 25 percent cases yearly of child harassment by the family members. As a result of which children are facing a number of diseases like abdominal disorders followed by minor injuries, which not only affects them physically but they are mentally harassed as well. There are different types of abuses on children. To exemplify, the shaken infant which is seen in young infants as their heads are physically shaken leading in hitting on the surface. Secondly, Sexual harassment is common in teenagers under the age of 18. They are forced by their families and last but not the least the children are often neglected by their families so, they inculcate mental wound and they cannot express their feelings and emotions which causes depression and fear of interacting with the outside world. In India, more than 40 percent children face domestic violence, commonly by special children and by handicapped youngster and they are the highest sufferer of this ill treatment.

How can children be protected?

The children can be protected in different ways for example government organizations should take initiative publicly. It should emphasis on the preventive measures for illegal activities like child labor and physical torture given to the children. It should start some awareness schemes among the society like educating the parents by teaching them the importance of child’s life. Government administration should appoint a team of executive officials which should have monthly visits to the homes of kids in order to check the decorum of family members with their children and last but not the least money support should be given to the families which are under poverty line to uplift them in the society.

Furthermore, there are some communities or social factors affecting the child abuse. For example, it can be due to parent’s financial stress, bad lifestyle etc. Moreover it’s the duty of society like neighbors and the rest of the family to interfere in the families of the children suffering from violence and sexual mistreatments. If they see a child is harassed they should directly report about the parents to the local jurisdiction, in order to save the life and future of the sufferer. Moreover, the victim should be given corporal punishment and lifetime imprisonment. Prohibition banners of child harassment should be raised in the community.

To conclude, Child Abuse is one of the burning problems of our society and it will be a major issue for the upcoming generations and the future economy of the world. So, according to me, it should be uprooted completely in order to save the world globally and so that the succeeding generation should be living in a planet without the disease of child abuse and malnutrition.
