Nazish Idrees, A clinical Psychologist, Ph.D. Scholar shared their valuable cases that are improved with the use of materializing thoughts. She commonly recommends and trains her clients for visualization, manifestation and self-hypnosis. She said, I believe in the power of subconscious mind and we can always and almost all the time can use this technique to solve variety of daily life issues. Here are some of the clinical scenarios she communicated about keeping the identities of her clients confidential.

First case is about Kate (hypothetical name and details) who was 16 years old suffering from grief. She was not ready to understand that her crush rejected her and she found it really impossible to move on, focusing on her studies and thinking about starting a new relationship with someone who is worthy to maintain a stable and healthy relationship with her. She had low confidence and depressive thoughts. She denied the fact that that boy was not interested in her. This made her belief that she is no good at all. Therapist recommended her to daily write down the thoughts about her relationship with the boy opposite to what she thinks right now. It was not easy to convince her but she wrote two thoughts in the way she was asked to do and then a task was given to her to visualize the opposite scenarios daily at a fixed time for few minutes. She came again after two weeks and was surprised about how the negative and unhelpful thoughts of her have reduced in frequency. She took initiative to make time and effort for study and also for friends. She was then given a task to visualize the same fun in her life that she was experiencing before she met that guy and fell in love with him. Daily focus on her new happy life gave her energy to actually step up for the new challenges of life.

Second case is about Molly who was 32, married and a mother of two children. She had daughters who are healthy and happy but she recently lost her one-month-old son due to complications and prematurity. She fell into postpartum depression. She also felt some anxiety and sometimes become delusional that someone has snatched her son from her and her family didn’t do anything. Her health was distressing her kids and husband. She is becoming badly ill day by day. In a therapeutic session, her condition was assessed and for couple of months till she remained admitted in the ward of the hospital. She was given visualizing scenarios that involve her son that she had lost. She re-experienced how she was pregnant, gave birth and then got separated from him. All this process was traumatic and painful but released her from the depression. After her discharge, she followed up and manifests giving birth to another son. That hard work she did made her becoming sexually active, responsive, improved her relationship with her family and leads her to fertility and pregnancy with a new son. This shows how the journey becomes easy using the process of materialization of thoughts. An impressive point to note here is, this process has many methods and it can be done both for eliminating the bad and embracing the good. Clients learn to balance their positive and negative energies for better performance and stability for the achievement of a satisfied and happy productive life.

Next case is of Richard who was 50 years old and anxious of his retirement and loss of work because he is getting memory issues since last few months. His boss was worried about him that someday he will be a reason of loss for his company. He was also reported of smoking hash because of his colleagues that strengthen the reason of his replacement from this present job. Richard started to think negative all the time that was worse for his work, anxiety and memory. He sought counseling and learned the art of using materialization of thoughts to cope with the issues. The imagination about improvement in memory issues helped him in focusing less on memory lapses and gaps. Similarly, one by one anxiety became reduced in symptoms by daily recall of the lines that “I feel relaxed most of the time and can work better. No one can replace me at my work”.

A male suffering from gender dysphoria also got help from this process during therapeutic sessions. He believed that he is a female from within and wanted to act like one. Even it is hard for him to oppose what his family thinks about him, he sometimes hides what he wants. Learning and practicing either way as a male or female was good in the case. He was asked what he wants to think like. His parent’s wants him to think like a male as his body demands but his mind was convinced that he should be a female. By mutual decision, he was convinced to pay attention to feel what his body is made for. He found it hard to think like male and visualize that he will act like a man very soon. Gradually he progressed and stopped acting like a female even his desire to be a female was lessened as well.

There are different mental health issues and daily life problems that are solved with the use of this practice that becomes easy for people in distress after few attempts. Sessional practice motivates them to continue practice afterwards and as the time passes, they will be able to see the change that materialization brings to their feet.
