Discussion of The Worst Cases of Animal Abuse

Today I will be talking about ones of the most abused animals, some of the worst types of abuse, and how to stop it. Animal abuse is a huge problem worldwide. Dogs, cats, horses, and livestock are some of the most abused animals, but it can be stopped!

Dogs are abused more than any other animal, along with cats, horses, and livestock. In fact, 65% of abused animals are dogs. They are put into puppy mills, hoarded, neglected, and forced to fight each other to the death. Cats are starved, abandoned, neglected, and hoarded. Horses and livestock are kept in terrible conditions that shouldn't even exist.

Factory farming is one of the worst cases of animal abuse in my opinion. Factory farming is when mainly farm animals are kept in terrible conditions their whole life and then killed. In fact, some chickens are so unfortunate that they are kept in a space smaller than an iPad! Their whole life! Newborn animals are separated from their parents at birth, most factory farms have no veterinary care, and most animals die way before they have reached anywhere near their natural life spans. For example: cows have a life span of 25 years, in nature that is, but in factory farms they only live 5 years. They may even die sooner due to bad conditions.

I know this sounds sad and horrible, but there are a few solutions for animal abuse of all kinds. Some solutions could be saying something when you see something, adopting animals who live in bad conditions, protest for animal laws, foster animals until they find a good home, and teach others how to prevent or stop animal abuse. Now of course there are many other ways to stop animal abuse, but these are the basics.

At my home, I have 2 dogs one is a yorkie and one is a mixed breed. Their names are Oreo and Zoe. I love them so much, and I know they love me and my family. Some dogs don’t ever feel loved and it's so sad, because they deserve better treatment.

In conclusion, animal abuse is a major issue that needs to and can be stopped in our society. Just think about all the poor animals who haven't even seen the sun, inhaled fresh air, or ran through the meadows. Animals deserve a good life with love and fun. All it takes is you, go change the world.
