My Ambition to Become a Veterinary Doctor

In this essay I am going to talk about my ambition to be a veterinary doctor and why this is living my fantasy. I have 3 main points for this, which l will explain. Those points are: animals getting better, becoming a doctor and my relationship with Sydney.

My first main point is that I want to help animals getting better. I want to help them because, first of all, I love animals and secondly it’s horrible when an animal is ill. At home, we have a lot of pet and animals. And every time they are ill, I say to myself: ’I wish I could help them.’ I have a very good bond with all kinds of animals. I am also very patient with animals. I have seen a lot of animals around the world. The most wonderful experience would be if I could help an animal that is in big danger or, animals you don’t see that often because they are nearly extinct. For example, helping a koala when they are stuck in a bushfire or helping a wombat when she is ill or even helping a dingo with his broken paw. This is living my fantasy because I love animals especially when they need help.

My second point is that I want to become a doctor. I want to become a doctor because without doctors people will die and then the population of the world will disappear. I am a kind of person who always wants to help others. After I finish my HAVO I want to get my VWO diploma. After that, I want to travel 1 year around Australia to see what kind of veterinarian I want to become. After traveling through Australia, I want to do my bachelor in Utrecht. Afterwards, I want to do my master in Sydney. Finally, I want to start my own business somewhere in New South Wales. This is living my fantasy because it was my dream to become a doctor since I was 5 years old.

My third and last point is that I have always wanted to work in Sydney. When I was young I went to Australia twice. The only thing that I can remember from that time is that I hugged and held a koala. I can remember that we returned to Australia when I was 9 years old. The second time we went on a sailing trip, which was a lot of fun. But unfortunately 1 day we went sailing on a rubber boat and I fell off the top of the boat and got hit by the propeller on my face and arm. It was a horrible accident. But I still love Australia and I even went on that same rubber boat after I came back from the hospital. I want to work in Sydney because they have a lot of beautiful views, beaches and I love the culture, but especially the animals. From the zebra-finch to the kangaroos, I love all of them. This is living my fantasy because I love Australia and especially Sydney. And it is my biggest wish to work in Sydney.

So to conclude, I want to become a veterinarian in Sydney and I have 3 main points for this. I want to help animals get better, I want to become a doctor and living and working in Sydney. I will do everything to achieve this beautiful dream!
