On 27th August 2014 Mr. Abhayomi, a businessman was found dead in his hotel room in the heart of London, unrecognizable, lying in a pool of blood and faeces. The doctors had.t seen such a death in medical history. The incident was covered in a few local newspapers and was shelved. The government was pressurized by the families of the deceased to look into the cause of these incidents, as many lives were lost. Medical researchers spent several sleepless nights, facing a backlash from the public over the delayed response to the crisis. All the pressure led them to finally discover that a zoonotic virus called Ebola was the reason behind the gruesome fatalities across the country. One thing they knew for sure was that the virus was highly infectious with about 36% of the population being infected by it. The fatality rate, the leading indicator of the disease, was found to be at 14%, alarmingly high.

'Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned'?

These figures created widespread fear amongst the masses, especially since no one had any solution towards tackling the rapidly spreading disease. With no solution at hand, the People from African Countries especially Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone began to cut ties indefinitely till a solution to the crisis was found.

About Ebola

The Ebola virus causes a serious illness which is often fatal if untreated. Ebola virus disease had 2 simultaneous outbreaks - first appeared in 1976, one in what is now, Nzara, South Sudan, and the other in Yambuku, Democratic Republic of Congo. The latter occurred in a village near the Ebola River, from which the disease takes its name. The 2014–2016 outbreak in West Africa was the most complex Ebola outbreak since the virus was first discovered in 1976. There were more cases and deaths in this outbreak. It also spread between countries, starting in Guinea and other parts of Africa.

It is thought that fruit bats of the Pteropodidae family are natural Ebola virus hosts. People remain infectious as long as their blood contains the virus.1st December 2014 The death of Mr. Abhayomi was just a tip of the iceberg, merely an indication of what was yet to come. Over the months, around 4,000 people were declared dead due to the disease in Africa alone. Another Businessman was also declared dead due to Ebola, and there was nothing that could be done to revive him. This news broke the internet, with many sharing photos and videos of the incident. Messages were circulated stating that the entire Africa is infected by the virus, and there has to be an underlying truth to this occurrence. Schools in some populous regions saw the attendance rates fall, and offices were empty. Virus or not, fear had taken over Africa.

WHO announced that an approximate of 7000 people have been infected by the virus across the globe. The figures exclude those of London and Hong Kong. The virus has been studied to have a fatality rate of about 74%, averaging out globally. Factors causing spread:

  • Population density
  • Contact with contaminated Fluid
  • Preparing burial of people who died of Ebola Factors causing mortality:
  • Temperature
  • Healthcare facilities for symptoms

1st December 2015 An urgent press conference was organized by Elwood Enterprises (EE), with the statement, The god has arrive. being made public a couple of hours before it. Media crews and journalists were eager to see what the set up was about as EE was known for their breakthrough announcements. Nearly a year back from the same date, a similar conference was announced wherein Mr. Dan Elwood revealed Race Y, a successful amphibious car for the public. The cameras flashed as Mr. Elwood made his way to the stage. In his classic style, he waved to the crowds, asking them to keep calm as he pointed to the large screen displayed behind him. A map of the world lit up on the screens with portions of it covered in red, blue and black. This is where the Africa is today. The red you see is the people who are infected by Ebola, the black are the ones who are dead, and if you squint your eyes and strain them a little, you might be able to see some blue around, that colour denotes the population that is healthy.

The government hides the truth from you; these are actual figures. .ve been studying this for several months, and you see exactly what I know. The government you believe in does.t know what to do about the situation. The pharmaceutical industry thrives on your misery. The longer you are sick, the richer they get. All they tell you is lies. There were heavy gasps from the attendants. But this should.t worry you. You now see the truth, and the truth shall set you free. he smirked as he said this. Elwood Enterprises has always been a pioneer in every segment. W.ve changed the global landscape, be it automobiles, computing, or deep-sea exploration. EE has done it all. This time around, we will save the global landscape. I am proud to announce that EE has developed a vaccine to fight the Ebola. Yes, you heard it right, a vaccine that will keep the healthy, healthy. If yo.re a government official watching this from home, ring me up, I await your approval. There was a huge round of applause and hooting from the audience, as what they indeed witnessed, was a speech by their saviour. 6th December 2015 Five days passed since EE spoke about their vaccine to the virus. Surprisingly, even after the positive reception by the public, there was no mention about it by the government of any country across the continent. 8th December 2015A public service announcement was scheduled on this day stating that an update was to be provided about the virus.

The Global Pharmaceutical Association (GPA), a liaison of privately run pharmaceutical players across the globe was leading the research for the vaccine on a public front. As 6 pm GMT struck, TV sets across the world sprung to life, as people were eagerly awaiting an official word on the situation of the infectious virus. Suited in a clean navy-blue suit, Mr. Thomson Xavier, Head of Research – (GPA) was seen behind the mic, preparing for his address. For the first time in history has every major Pharmaceutical company in the entire Africa has come together. A huge step in the direction towards saving humanity. he said in a deep voice. Certain organisations claim to have found the solution to the issue at hand. The solution is.t as easy as sending a vessel to beyond 300 metres below sea level. Lives are at stake here. You ca.t call something a solution when the fatality rate associated with it ranges from 12 – 18 %. Testing merely on animals does.t suffice when dealing with humans. If Elwood cares about humanity, why isolate himself and work while the entire world is coming together at this moment of need. Mr. Xavier stated, taking a dig at E.s statement.

Sticking to the main point of this announcement, I am proud to announce that the vaccine is in the works with about 60% of it already formulated. In 6 months, you will have a vaccine that works 100%, and a feat will have been achieved by the pharma industry. 12th December 2015The governments of the leading countries have fallen in disarray. No playbook has a chapter to deal with the turmoil the world is currently in. Leading the quest for the vaccine, the president of the African Union takes to the stage to make the most significant announcement in modern history. Never has the world seen such a catastrophe. Today I will not lie, Ebolavirus and Filoviridae family is taking over the healthy, it is spreading at a pace we did.t expect it would infect at. Fatalities are also an occurrence, but the probability of it occurring is directly dependent on complications. If I were to put a number on these elements, the infection rate would be at 29% with the fatality rate being at around 16%. These numbers are averaged out across the globe. We are working in liaison with other countries to channelize all our energy on a solution. These are tough times. Now we leave it to the people of the world. Which solution do you want? What do you think is best for you.
