Review on Parenting

Parenting can be a productive tool or a destructive one as many people don’t know how important is to raise your child well. As effects of bad parenting can be measured in many ways such as violence rate, drugs usage rate, increase of criminal rate, and each and every negative thing happens in the nation can relate directly or indirectly to bad parenting. If the child is raised well, he will never choose to take drugs or be violence and the opposite is true. Most parents don’t do it initially maybe they are just lazy or busy as 94% of Emirati families have maids 50% of this families are staying at home moms what are the children learning from that is to be dependent always on someone which can result into a future of irresponsibility Bad parenting makes the child more prone to criminal behavior especially when they are exposed to abuse. other effects to exposing children to ignores from parents can result in violence and behavior problems.

A study published in the journal of family violence found that children whom both witnessed, and experience domestic abuse were far more likely to suffer from internalized anger and behavior problems. Having a poor parent might also make a child feel unloved and uncared about, whether you truly feel that way or not. Lack of support from parents and harsh or negative parenting strategies might increase the risk of depression in children, and low self-esteem, therefore, it would lead to taking drugs, problems with the law this can lead to a cycle of abuse in which children grow up to abuse others in the same way they were abused so more children will be and the cycle restarts. Some children who grew up with bad parenting end up having a successful and happy life. However, others may continue the cycle of making poor parenting decisions when they have children of their own. Many parents do the things their own parents did when they were growing up because that is all they know. If you grew up with negative parents whom you couldn't rely on, you might end up being the same way. Bad parenting won't only affect his personal life but academic life and social problems too. as it could cause the kid to have a bad school performance and he would also have a problem with adjusting socially in a school setting. As for a solution I came up with 4 different solutions.

Firstly, training to each young couple which will teach them how to take care of a child and raises them good to improve Kuwait’s future and be more responsible and decreases the crime /violence rate in Kuwait. The second solution is to make school lessons for senior students to show them how important raising a child in the community which will improve the idea of how to raise a child and stop the cycle of abuse. Third and most important is campaigning which will have the biggest impact, therefore, they will give everyone an idea of how important this is to the community. The fourth solution has also a big impact especially in the middle east is taxes on maids because there are a lot of middle eastern families which has one or more maids and they don’t really need them and leave them to raise their kids which could result into destroying mother-son relationship as the kid will be closer to his/her maid rather than his own mother. What could be even worse is if the maid wasn’t good it may cause child abuse which will again result in the cycle of abuse again. So this tax will help future children a lot. if in the next 20 years the violence rate decreased, drugs usage decreased, and the government was convinced that teens are more responsible and allow the driver license from 16 years old.

Commitment and strong power of will is some of the strengths I have which will allow me to do what I plan and using the opportunities well as that Kuwait have enough money and the government is backing me up but there are many threats such as the culture and the laziness of the people plus if the people refuse my idea more than three times then I will give up as it is one of my weakness another weakness is that I can’t tell each what to do they should plan for themselves. In conclusion if we did not solve the problem of bad parenting then we are destroying the future and missing a big chance to get a better future and staying as a consumer not needed country but if we do then we are opening a door of riches which will help the nation and be one of the greatest nations in the world.
