Imagine bus doors open and you walk in. You pay your fare and walk through the middle aisle. All around you, the white’s began pulling disgusted faces and spat where you walked. You did not seem bothered by this as this was an everyday occurrence, instead, you keep walking until you noticed there is no free seat on the black side of the bus, so you decided to sit on the white side. You hesitated for a while, but still sat down. A white man walked up to you and provoked you to move. You could sense the anger in his tone as he clutched his fists. Unbothered, you ignore him. Suddenly 100 pairs of eyes glare at you and before you know, you are arrested. This racial discrimination was an everyday for African Americans. On every path, you could see small children being dragged away from shops and bus rides just because of their race. But who stopped this unfairness, you would question? This heroic step was taken by Rosa Parks, a 42 years old woman who was tired of this unfairness that had taken place in the cold hearts of white men and women. She had inspired 1000s of people that everyone has equal rights no matter what colour their skin is. Her strong voice and decisions had inspired a younger generation to keep strong and follow your dreams even if you think they are unreachable.

'Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned'?

For African Americans it was just a matter of survival, of existing one day to the next until Rosa Parks had stepped in this Illusion made by Americans that black people have no rights. If she hadn’t fought for African Americans rights, you would have seen small children begging for food on streets since the whites have been forbidden to provide the Africans with luxury. These innocent children wouldn’t have known that humanity is still alive in the form of Rosa Parks. In 1955 Rosa Parks had made a big decision of refusing to give up her seat for a white man on the Montgomery Bus, as a result, she was arrested and fined a total of fourteen dollars for her disrespect towards the whites. Even after this incident, the matter of racial discrimination and unfairness towards the black didn’t fully end, therefore, Rosa Parks had to protest to stop racism. If this was not done, the blacks wouldn’t have gotten their rights, and this would have affected the new generation as well. So, isn’t she a hero?

To conclude the essay, Rosa Parks is an example of courage and determination, an inspiring symbol of all African Americans to remain free.
