Solar Energy: a Look at The Earth’s Economical and Best Unconventional Energy

The Earth provides a home for us but is currently filled with a lot of CO2 which could soon hurt our world. The CO2 in the air is causing extreme heat leading to global warming. Many people are concerned about this and want to take action. I believe we should take action and find an alternative energy. Of all the alternative energy, I think solar energy is the cheapest and the best way.

Solar energy is harmless to the sun and gives you energy, and fast. "Every hour the sun beams onto Earth more than enough energy to satisfy global energy needs for an entire year." (National Geographic, Solar Energy) Many may argue that when it is raining or a cloudy day, there will be stored energy. If everyone was to use solar energy, it would reduce the amount of CO2 if it was also used with cars.

Solar energy is a renewable source of energy. Solar energy, can never run out. (Unless the sun explodes which won't happen for billions of years later.) Think about it, fossil fuels, coal and nuclear energy are not renewable and also damage the atmosphere. It has almost no maintenance and can last up to longer than 25 years. Solar energy has almost no harm and helps generate energy.

Solar energy is very cheap. Many may think that it is very expensive but actually your out-of-pocket investment could only be under $10,000. Of course this is the cheapest you can get. While, wind power costs about $30,000. Roughly 2/3 more than solar energy. Wind power although produces about the same amount of energy as solar power but is much more expensive. Obviously we cannon live off dung power. There is not enough dung to power many people and has to be used for other things such as fertilizer. It can also reduce the cost of electricity because it uses natural energy to for electricity. Solar energy is cheaper than many think and also reduces your electricity costs.

Due to the CO2 damaging the Earth, we, the people must act, and quickly so our home, the Earth, will not have a damaged atmosphere. Solar energy is renewable, abundant and the maintenance does not take much time. It is also much cheaper than wind energy and/or other energy alternatives. Summing up, solar energy is a nice alternative for energy and heat instead of using carbon dioxide or fossil fuels.
