Just like Luke's hero journey in Star Wars, The Hero with a Thousand Faces depicts the journey to heroism and gives the world a sigh of relief and hope with the various steps for becoming a hero. Through the various myths outlined in the story, readers are persuaded to depend on the guidelines in their journey to heroism. The Hero's story is powerful and universal since it is more relevant to society today in its highlight of the Hero's journey.

The 12 steps, as defined by Campbell, begin with a call to adventure, challenging the quest to present itself personally to the world. While the individual refuses the call at first due to fear, he later, with the help of a mentor, accepts and overcomes all the possible fears and commits to the journey's course. As they continue with the journey, they are given various tests, meet friends and enemies, and prepare for the tough ordeals and difficulties aimed at testing their resolve (Campbell, 2008). This forces them to encounter and have a showdown with their worst fears, and upon surviving, an ordinary person turns into a hero and receives a reward that comes in the form of insight or knowledge. The story does not end with the reward since the Hero must return to the normal world where he began his story and tell about his transformation. Je must share it with others to inspire many that it is possible.

The call to adventure is an important stage that signifies the beginning of the journey. The Hero starts in a normal circumstance from which he acquires some data that fills in as a pardon to wander into the obscure. Since the Empire slaughtered Luke's folks, he was at first dependent on his folks, at that point on his tutor Obi-Wan, who filled in as his next limit watchman. He didn't turn into a man until he started to confide in the power. When we initially meet Luke, we discover him exhausted and fretful for experience however kept on a ranch on the far-off planet Tatooine by his uncle, who fears the vagrant may turn out like his dad. When we first see him in Star Wars, he is extremely inspired by his father. His dad was a knight contender, subsequently found (Gordon, 1995, p. 75). In this stage, a little robot with a princess-protecting voice shows up. Luke appears to have been brought for an undertaking in this situation.

The Hero's journey is exceptional because it teaches about focus and staying heads up for the task ahead. For instance, in the Supernatural stage, the superhero focuses on the journey while the supernatural assistant is visible and focused on the journey. In Star War, the wizard, Ben Kenobi, and the Hero's dad's companion provide Luke's help using the magical powers he possesses. Ben had much power: he first appears as a mysterious hooded figure, scaring people away threatening Luke. The saint learns all of the oblivious abilities next to him after responding to his call and proceeding to follow fearlessly as the outcomes unfold. Luke is aware that the power exists, but he has never seen it (Gordon, 1995, p. 74). According to the first function, it may also represent what people believe in so much, yet they cannot handle it. It is the idea that people can sense what is going on inside them. This sensation makes Luke perform miraculous signs through the use of a force leads Luke to perform a miracle by using the force in killing the Death Star. Campbell's Hero's Journey refers to this stage as 'The Resurrection.' Luke begins his journey to become a Jedi at this stage. After Luke demonstrated his wisdom by trusting the force and destroying the Death Star, a medal ceremony was held to honor him.

Campbell's formula does not just give another way of interpreting tales in historical and contemporary myths. The story is exceptional because we can draw much meaning from it in our present life as we put our daily personal struggles in the limelight. Although we might not feel heroic because of the struggles and tribulations we survive each day, we are brave since we understand that it makes us better people. The main reason for creating myths is to serve as a brave model in society. This aims to guide ordinary and fearful people and inspire us in the process. These people's stories help us appreciate the problems irrespective of our fears, resulting in positive wisdom to contribute to society. Although Campbell is not religious in his beliefs, he talks about finding a god, which does not mean finding faith (Campbell, 2008). He instead means that we should find that intrinsic best part of us to drive us towards a successful journey and return safely with the victory. This results in being 'all with the world,' signifying an awakening.

The story teaches us to be ready to experience transformation if we have to succeed. In the Belly of the Whale stage, the individual must demonstrate that they are ready to transform. Luke used a targeting computer as he went on his way to destroy the Death Star to have a better vision of where to target and hit. However, a voice came to him saying, 'trust in the force Luke' giving him confidence and the ability to trust completely and finally destroy the Death Star without even using the target computer (Gordon, 1995, p. 78). Given Luke's dangerous encounters throughout his mission, he returned safely given the trust he had. This means that we might end up destroying our ambitions and what we can achieve when we limit ourselves.
