The Internet of Everything (IoE) is a group of devices that are interrelated, it allows two or more different device to connect together and communicate over a network without requiring human to human/human to computer interaction. A thing in the internet of things can be a SMART fridge which connects to your phone and sends you a notification when you are running low on a specific item. Or maybe a machine in factory which alerts someone on another device whenever there is a technical problem with different suggestions on how it may be fixed and how severe the problem is. The IoE may seem like it will hugely benefit the world, however it’s scarier than you think. There are already more connected things than people in the world. Analyst Gartner calculates that around 8. 4 billion IoT devices were in use in 2017, up 31 percent from 2016, and this will likely reach 20. 4 billion by 2020. Total spending on IoT devices and services reached almost $2tn in 2017, with two-thirds of those devices found in China, North America and Western Europe.

Physical Objects

There are many different types of physical devices that are part of the IoE, ranging from a smart hairbrush to a smart fridge. Smart lamp posts come with a variety of different uses. They have a Wi-Fi network which can allow other devices nearby to connect to the internet when they are out, therefore reducing the need to use up your mobile data. Also, they have built in security cameras, these can be used to help track criminals, so the police will be notified whenever a specific person has been recognised. It will send a notification to the nearest police station giving details on the location so they know where to find them. The cameras can also be used to monitor traffic collisions and the speed of cars.

Another feature they have is radar sensors which can monitor the amount of traffic on the road, and whether charging points are available to those with e-cars. The lamp posts have real-time GPS data, this can be used to look at journey times and whether there are different routes that can be taken if necessary. [image: Image result for drones iot]Drones are another example of physical objects in the IoE. They are rapidly expanding their range of capabilities, currently they are being developed for parcel deliveries to customer doorsteps, internet provision and disaster surveillance and assistance.

Drones are relative to the IoE as they are highly dependent on sensors, antennas and embedded software to provide two-way communications for remote control and monitoring. When a customer orders a product from a website, such as Amazon, the details of the customer address and order will be sent to the drone, it will locate the product and make its way to the destination using built in GPS. The customer will then be notified on their handheld device that the parcel has been dispatched and also when it has arrived.

Experiential Interactions

Image result for telemedicine]Telemedicine technology (TT) uses sensors to monitor patients and being able to give them real-time updates. TT has gradually increased from improving lifestyles to providing lifesaving medical information. Medical services can be improved in practical applications as patients health information can be transmitted over the internet. It allows doctors to consult virtual consultations and provide support to other hospitals. Telemedicine technology will also help to improve the quality of continuing education for primary healthcare workers.

Another example would be developing new RFID device systems that support older individuals in order that they'll safely keep independent. Researchers used RFID and device technology to spot and monitor people's activities mechanically. This may facilitate with each routine care and also emergency care within the case of an accident among the house. In addition, the system options low input prices and no need for intensive testing within the face of an aging population, this application has huge potential.

Aids to People

Image result RxPense is the only personal use, commercial/enterprise dispenser for blister pre-packaged medications specifically designed for seniors and chronic illness patients consuming up to medications per dose. The device masses packaged medications (2 weeks) that are certified by your health care provider, and robotically opens every dose package and delivers them to the patient, once documented, at the proper time. The RxPense connects to the pharmacy to get the precise dispensing details required to properly self-program. The RxPense is physically secured, preventing theft, abuse and dose.

The patented, random access, robotic mechanism permits the RxPense to skip doses, preventing over dosing and keeping the initial medications secured, till refill time. The RxPense is additionally the only multilingual dispenser that allows every user — patient, caregiver or health care skilled to settle on their own language to be used. Security is provided by PIN, Password, RFID, Bracelet and Voice. RxPense is the only device to produce image and information documented dispensing and audit trails. Patients, caregivers and different licensed users each have their own account and security permissions.

Another example would be smart doorbells, they will be mounted close to the door to observe the human activities. Whenever somebody’s activity is detected, the buzzer can turn on automatically as a door bell. Also the camera gets activated because of the human action and streams live video to the user. The user will then authenticate the entry of the person through an android App. The servo motors can then receive the command and facilitate unlocking of the door, the data regarding all of this may be sent to the cloud for storage and analysis.

Aids to society/community

Smart cities use IoE devices like connected lights, sensors and metres to gather and analyse data. This data can then be used to improve infrastructure, public utilities and services. Building managers are using IoE devices in infrastructure to reduce their costs and improve the quality of their buildings. A ShotSpotter can be implemented into lamp posts in cities which includes a sound sensor detecting gunshots and will automatically be reported to the nearest 999 department.

This is useful as it doesn’t require another citizen getting involved. There is also digital kiosks which give information about any nearby stores, restaurants and events. It provides a map which can be used by visitors, it can also sync with your phone so you can walk away and use the map. Many cities have begun smart transportation initiatives to optimize their public transportation routes, produce safer roads, cut back infrastructure prices, and alleviate hold up as additional people go into cities. Smart public transport will benefit society a lot, it will help to optimize emergency services which will save lives and reduce the amount of congestion on the roads therefore reducing the number of collisions. New public transport will have built in sensors which will be connected to another device at a station where it can be notified whenever there is a technical fault.

New vehicles are changing, particularly cars. Smart cars come with communication sensors, while cars are on the road they communicate with each other letting them know their positioning on the roads, this ensures there is the safest amount of spacing between vehicles helping to reduce the amount of traffic congestion. They also come with parking sensors, this makes it easier and quicker to park which could therefore cut down on fuel costs. These sensors can also be used to locate available parking spots in different areas, it will send a notification to your smartphone giving you directions to the nearest one, and this enables drivers to check availability in advance. Smart cars come with the ability to self-drive, this technology can reduce the number of collisions caused by human errors making it safer for people on the roads.

There are many examples of IoE in manufacturing, some of these include: smart factories with sensors that collect information on performance of machines and systems for proactive maintenance and rising overall operational potency. This will help a business to see how well they are doing which will show them where they need to improve. Another would be using temperature, moisture and vibration sensors on vital tools and equipment to forecast failures in advance and plan a schedule for them to be fixed. Workers will be notified on another device whenever there is a problem with a piece of equipment.
