There is some major differences between Plagiarism and academic misconduct. That plagiarism means to copy and paste all the things which originally are from other people and do not refer where it came out. It is really a bad and terrible thing to plagiarize others works without any permissions of using them. We can assume that everyone have made quite a lot of efforts, including time and money, to finish their own studies and eventually published them, so it is quite unfair just to copy, utilize their idea and make it your own. Not to say, it might be a violation of the law in some points. Therefore, it's best to always use a plagiarism fixer before submitting your work to make sure it's unique.

Because living in a world where the internet are vogue, search engines like Google and Yahoo became a really common thing in our daily life, it is very possible if some of the students search some information online because it is much more convenient to find abundant resources than look through all the paper book in library. It might lead to students can easily copy other people's ideas for homework or reports. It is likely that they did not notice that it may be illegal to plagiarize other articles. On the other hand, academic misconduct is that if we make use of other people academics result may have a chance to cause some opportunities of leading unfair outcomes like advantages or disadvantages to other people. This may harm the authors' benefit. In a word, the two of them may all lead to some horrible influences to the future academic development and in the long run, lead to some serious consequences which make that country be not as competitive as should be.

To avoid academic misconduct and plagiarism, everyone should have conceive the right attitude to respect others works. In these years, governments around the world have also take some practical efforts to prevent this situation which is getting more aware by the society. Take Taiwan for example, like most countries in the world there is a law of copyright which is established by the congresses, and so we called intellectual property right. The purposes of the law is to protect all the human creations that coming out from our own self , like essays, music, and drawing etc.

The law not only give the initial guarantee to everyone, it also can avoid people from stealing our idea. Since this important concept should deeply stem in people's mind, in addition, we also have some courses which is about copyright in my home university, which is really helpful for the students who want to recognize and understand their right. We should have correct concept to protect ourselves and refrain from infringe the rights of others. However, plagiarism is still a serious problem in everywhere. That is why I think that we can set up some lectures in not only senior high school but also younger age of school which can allow young people have the great concept earlier before it is too late. Education plays a very important job letting all students know that besides the fact that plagiarism is illegal and it will greatly do the unreversed harm to the academic progress of our country.
