In society today, there are on thousands of women who go on the path of abortion. Late term abortion shouldn’t be allowed. Keep in mind, it is harmful to babies, the mother, and even society. There should be stronger laws regarding abortion. “The fetus in many cases, dies just as a human adult or child would: it bleeds to death as it is torn limb from limb. The fetus can be alive at the beginning of the dismemberment process and can survive for a time while its limbs are being torn off”. There are three main reasons why abortions should be illegal, discussed in this essay.
Abortion is harmful to the baby. For example, Dr. Levatino described what the abortionist actually does to the helpless child. Every baby deserves to at least live. “An unborn child at 20 weeks gestation is FULLY capable of experiencing pain. Without question (abortion) is a dreadfully painful experience.” This shows that the baby feels everything that is going on.
Abortion is also harmful to the mother. There’s are no federal reporting requirements for abortion in the United States. Only 26 states require providers to report. And the data provided are estimates. Whether it's the mothers “choice” to not have the baby, it can also take place as the husband or boyfriend who does not want to keep the baby also. They don't know that it can harm the mother as in infection or sepsis, heavy or persistent bleeding, damage to the cervix, damage to the organ, and even death. As said by Dr. Bush, “Having an abortion is not just a walk in the park,” she explains, “There is possibility of excessive bleeding or injuries and death. That means your death. So, I am not confident that when consent is given in an abortion clinic that they are given all of that... women have definitely been victimized”. As said by Dr. Bush, “Having an abortion is not just a walk in the park.” It isn’t easy to have abortion, there are side effects also including death. The arguments for banning this procedure are based on maternal safety, fetal pain, and ethical considerations. A 2016 study by Dr. D Paul Sullins of the Catholic University of America found that women who had abortions were significantly more likely to have one or more mental health disorder than women who lost their pregnancies due miscarriage (45% versus 24%).

As he writes in the the promotional material for his 2014 book, abolition “A nation’s economy cannot be sustained when nearly one third of its population has been wiped out.” The loss of so many millions of lives to abortion has weakened America.
To conclude, abortions should be illegal because, abortion is harmful to babies, abortion is harmful to the mother, and abortion is harmful to society. There should be stronger laws regarding to abortion. Every child, or baby, deserves to get a chance to live in this world even if their mother decides to abort.

Most people are pro-life and against pro-choice which is an abortion movement where people think that it’s the woman’s body and it’s her own choice to whether keep the baby or kill it. Some people disagree and say that fetuses don’t feel pain during the process of abortion but no matter what people are still killing an innocent baby which is against the bible and in the bible it states no differences between a baby and fetuses and once the babies are in the belly they are one of God’s own and it is a sin which is stated in the bible as one of the commandments “Thou shall not kill”. So this essay will answer the question 'Why should abortion be illegal?'.
Every human being born or is at the process of being born deserves to live and has everything single right to do so. Many governments around the world agree and stand with the fact that unborn babies are human beings and are against abortions. The Federal Unborn Victims of Violence Act is going to punish anyone that will be getting abortions because it is a horrible act. All these babies being born and want to have a purpose in life but instead their dreams are being crushed all because of abortion. Abortion is against the bible and against God’s will, the unborn babies are still considered to be part of this world that God created and they are one of God’s people. In the bible love is very important and one of the sayings were “Be fertile and multiply” (Genesis 1:28). Getting an abortion is an illegal law in most countries and states, and hopefully more countries, states, and cities illegalize it. Abortion is illegal completely in 26 countries and it’s illegalized in more countries but some states or cities have it legal. Females who had undergone abortion had spoken about their experience and are even more depressed than females who didn’t go through abortion and were raped because a horrible act already occurred, why perform another horrible act over an innocent baby who deserves to live.

This quote means a lot and it’s pretty much self-explanatory. Not only are you going to kill an innocent baby, you are also torturing them. A fetus was shown through the ultrasound image (which is a machine where you can see the inside of a body) during an abortion and the mouth of the fetus was wide open and it seemed as if the fetus was screaming and in pain but a silent scream which was told by a pro-life activist. Pain is also valid in a first trimester fetus and even surgeons who perform abortions have seen the unborn child in pain and they start to flinch because of the pain. “If the fetus is beyond 20 weeks of gestation, I would believe that there will be pain caused to the fetus. And I believe the baby will have bad pain” Says Kanwaljeet J. S. Anand, Professor of Pediatrics Anesthesiology and Neurobiology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. The worst part is that not only are you killing the baby but you are also breaking the baby’s body with sharp tools. It is an inhumane act against a human being with every right to live and who is pretty much defenseless and can’t do anything about it or protect itself. And this is perhaps the main reason why abortion should be illegal.
The baby can go for adoption where he or she can be treated with care and loved by a family who will most likely be better than his “real” family. Many psychologists have had talks with adopted children in the U.S and have come to conclusion that even if it isn’t their biological family, they love them more knowing that they wanted them and took care of them rather than almost having their mother getting an abortion and pretty much crushing their lives and dreams. Woman wanting their child to go for adoption can meet the family before the baby is born and get to know them and discuss the relationship that you can have with your child whether its an open or closed relationship. If it’s an open relationship, the mother can still contact the child from time to time or if it is a closed relationship the mother can have no contact with the child. Around 2.7 million people in the United States want to adopt and instead of getting an abortion the baby can go for adoption because some parents have problems which leads them to not be able to reproduce. Abortion is also decreasing the rate of adoption which is a fact and another reason why abortion should be illegal.
This is where the whole debate begins between pro-life and pro-choice, pro-choice supporters who are with the rights of a woman on having an abortion if she wants one. Now pro-choice supporters think that for a baby to have a good life, if it came unwanted and that the parents weren’t ready to take care of the baby they should get rid of it with an abortion which they think is the best choice to do. This would affect the child’s life because the parents probably won’t be able to afford education, toys, and food or even not have space in the house for when the child gets older and wants to move in his own bedroom. Now this is where they are wrong, even if the child came unwanted and they couldn’t afford to raise the child, other families are dying to have kids but can’t due to health issues so they can adopt the child and keep him safe and healthy. I’m sure those families that want to adopt would give their absolute best and work as hard as they can and love their child so much to the point where they would risk their lives for them just to keep them happy.
Rape, one of the worst things to happen to someone especially if it gets someone pregnant and then the mother would have to go through the struggle of the whole birth process which lasts for 9 months and would have it as daily reminder of what happened to her. This causes the mother to go through depression and may lead to suicide depending on how the mother takes it. Does this really give the mother the right to kill the baby just because she thinks it will serve her justice or make her feel better? An example said by Brian Fisher “Imagine you are robbed and beaten at gunpoint. You have months of suffering and healing ahead of you, and it may take years to recover from the psychological impact. The crimes committed against you were unfair, do you now have the right to kill an innocent stranger on the street because you’ve been victimized?” Now this isn’t the same as rape but the whole message off it was to show that no matter what incident happens, no one has the right to kill an innocent human being. I think women are brave enough to go through the whole 9 months and after that the mother can give the child away for adoption. Rape victims are also diagnosed with trauma and trauma isn’t easy to overcome but with the proper mindset and people around you it can be. There are many ways to prevent yourself from being sad and depressed after being raped and pregnant. If you’re a heavy Christian believer, then you’ll know and believe that whatever happens in life it was up to God’s decision and try to think of it in a positive way and that the baby was a gift from God. On the other hand, if you aren’t, go to communities, help others as much as you can, and spend some time with your family and close friends.
