The Terracotta Army is one of the greatest discoveries of the 20th century and also one of the most famous in the world.Since its inception, more than 8,000 soldiers, 130 carts and 670 horses have been excavated. The Terracotta Army was created by China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, who began building the army in 246 BCE after he (then 13 years of age) climbed to the throne.
