What is Manual Testing?

Manual Testing is a method passed out to find the defects. In this technique the testers plays an essential role as end user and make sure all features of the application to make sure that the behavior of the application. The Manual Testing is very fundamental type of testing which helps to locate the bugs in the application under test. It is preface testing, must be carried out former to start automating the test cases, and also requests to check the feasibility of automation testing. The Test Plan is formed & follow by the tester to make sure that the depth of testing while executing the test cases manually without using automation testing tool.

Goal of Manual Testing

The major Goal of Manual Testing is to ensure that the application under test is flaw free and software application is working as per the obligation plan document.

This type includes the testing of the Software manually i.e. without using any automated tool or any script. In this type, tester takes above the role of end user and check the Software to recognize any unpredicted behavior or bug. There are different stages for Manual Testing like Unit testing, Integration testing, System testing and User Acceptance testing.

A test plan document is formed by test lead which describes the complete and organized approach to testing a software application. Fundamentally the test plan usually includes a complete sympathetic of what the eventual workflow will be. To make sure the completeness of testing (100% test coverage) test cases or test scenarios are created. Manual Testing Concepts also includes examining testing as testers discover the software to recognize errors in it

After the testing is in progress the planned test cases or test scenarios will be executed & any differences between definite & predictable results are reported as defects. Once the reported defects are set, the testers will retest the defect to confirm that the defects are set. The main goal of Software testing is to formulate software defect free & convey good quality Product to client.

Manual Testing types:

Following are the testing techniques that are performed manually during the test life cycle:

Acceptance Testing: Acceptance Testing is a phase of the software testing wherever a system is tested for acceptability. The reason of this test is to assess the system’s fulfillment with the business necessities and evaluate whether it is suitable for delivery.

White Box Testing: White box testing is the software testing process in which internal structure is being known to tester who is going to test the software.

Black Box Testing: Black box testing is the Software testing technique which is used to test the software without knowing the internal structure of system or program.

Unit Testing: Unit testing is a software development process in which the negligible testable parts of an application, called units, are separately and separately scrutinized for proper operation. Unit testing can be done manually but is often automated.

System Testing: System testing of software or hardware is testing conducted on a absolute, integrated system to assess the system’s fulfillment with its particular necessities.

Integration Testing: Integration testing is a software testing tactic used to test individual software mechanism or units of code to verify communication between different software mechanism and spot interface defects.
