The term Sustainable development doesn’t necessarily refer to environmental sustainability or other green topics. Sustainable development also needs to take economic and social sustainability into account in order to fit within the parameters of sustainable development. To put them in simple words, our global future highly depends on it. Renewable energy sources like wind power and solar power are tremendous examples of development strategies that are sustainable. Their sustainability is described by their reliance upon infinitely available resources that are naturally occurring, constant and free to access.

Considering the fact that the population is on the rise, by the year 2100 there will be more than 10 billion people living on the earth. This means the consumption of energy is going to increase massively in the upcoming years.In order to provide the basic human necessities such as food, water, and shelter to the future generations, we need to sustain the infrastructure for the long-term. Agriculture sustainability is an important factor. Crop rotation and effecting seeding practices can help to promote high yields while protecting the integrity of the soil as it produces food for larger amounts of people. There is an immediate need to cut down the use of fossils fuels. Although they are continually formed, as they take ages to form and the usage is faster than the production, we call it non-renewable resources of energy.

Therefore, sustainability is important here as it states “”meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.””[1]Sustainable development can likewise create more financially maintainable economies throughout the world. Asset-poor economies will access free and available vitality through renewables while likewise having the chance to prepare specialists for employment that won’t be dislodged by the essential reality of limited assets.A fundamental portion of developing sustainable communities is the preservation of energy sources and the utilization of sustainable, clean energy. Influencing utilization of sun oriented to control, geothermal warming, and cooling frameworks, and wind energy can fundamentally decrease a community’s dependence on gas, coal, and different types of energy.

To sum up, We consider a move to greater sustainability, in all aspects of life, critical to our future. We only have one earth. We must find ways to reduce our harmful impact on the environment. Our focus is on increasing the sustainability in McMaster University. Sustainability focuses on creating the best outcomes for both the human and natural environments. The goal is not just for conservation now, but also for the future, and the future of your children’s children.
