Yellow fever is a viral infection disease which is spreadable by mosquito bite between dawn and dusk as well as night times. Jungles and forests are predominant places with yellow fever mosquito. Yellow fever is most common in the Southern regions of South America, and Africa. Like most diseases, children and older people are more susceptible.
Once infected with yellow fever, symptoms appear in three to six days. Most people do not have symptoms, but those who do get muscle pains, headaches, fever and nausea. Some people develop more severe symptoms. The patient turns yellow, and the kidneys and liver are attacked by the disease. Bleeding can occur in the mouth, nose or stomach, and fifty percent of people may also experience hemorrhaging, seizures, delirium or comas, and sometimes death within ten days. It is native to South America and Africa, but you are still required to be vaccinated when you go to Malaysia because there is a large population of mosquitoes there, and sometimes yellow fever can be brought to other countries. There is no real treatment for Yellow Fever. However, blood can be replaced when hemorrhaging, or dialysis for kidney failure.
