When I was growing up, I always had a passion for standing up for what was right and seeking justice. I remember vividly a time when my younger sister was being bullied by a group of students at her school. As her older brother, it was my duty to stand up for her and ensure that she was safe. I went to the principal’s office and reported the incident, but I was told that there was not much that could be done. That day, I realized that there was a need for someone who could advocate for the voiceless and ensure that justice was served.
As I got older, I began to realize that the legal field was the perfect avenue for me to pursue my passion. I knew that I wanted to become a lawyer and advocate for those who couldn't advocate for themselves. The more I researched about the law, the more interested I became in the different areas of law, including criminal law, constitutional law, and international law.
My passion for law was solidified during an internship that I completed at a local law firm. During my time at the firm, I was able to work with a group of lawyers who were dedicated to representing their clients to the best of their ability. It was inspiring to see the impact that these lawyers had on their clients' lives, and the satisfaction that came with knowing that they were making a difference in people's lives.
After my internship, I began to research different law schools that would provide me with the necessary tools to achieve my goals. I was looking for a law school that had a strong reputation, a diverse student body, and a supportive faculty. That is when I came across the Ohio State University's Moritz College of Law.
The Moritz College of Law has a reputation for excellence, and their faculty members are some of the most respected legal scholars in the country. I was particularly drawn to their focus on public interest law and their commitment to social justice. As someone who wants to use my legal skills to make a difference in the world, I believe that the Moritz College of Law is the perfect place for me.
In addition to their strong academic programs, I was also drawn to the diverse student body at Ohio State University. As someone who has always been passionate about meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures, I believe that this will be a great opportunity to learn from people with different perspectives.
Ultimately, my passion for law has been shaped by my experiences and my desire to make a difference in the world. I am confident that by pursuing my law degree at the Ohio State University, I will be equipped with the necessary skills to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
