Analysing Where Do You See Yourself in 10 Years

Within this essay exploring where I see myself in 10 years, I will examine my choice of degree and area of future study. Applying for university and pursuing a degree represents the most significant milestone in one's academic journey. This essay addresses my decision to pursue health and social care management at the University of South Wales, providing insights into my relevant experiences. My research revealed promising statistics: more than half of health studies graduates secure employment within six months of graduation, with 26.1% pursuing further studies and 56.7% entering the workforce. Additionally, I will share my impressions from the university induction week, along with my thoughts and aspirations.

The process of selecting a university that would fulfill my academic aspirations and personal requirements proved both exciting and challenging. It demanded thorough research before reaching a final decision. During my investigation into various universities and their course offerings, the University of South Wales immediately captured my interest through its comprehensive website, which provided detailed insights into my chosen degree program. The campus visit during induction week, informative leaflets, and engaging guest speakers in lectures, combined with clear explanations of student requirements and available support from the study skills centre, strengthened my conviction about pursuing this degree.

My passion for the health and social care management sector emerged early in life, drawing me not only because of its diverse career opportunities but also for the chance to gain extensive expertise and practical knowledge. The prospect of transforming my natural inclination for caregiving into a professional career has already inspired me to make meaningful contributions to others' lives. My previous experience working with individuals facing various challenges, including learning difficulties, dyslexia, and communication barriers, has reinforced my commitment to this field. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the profession's demands and complexities.

The loss of my father to diabetes and heart failure has profoundly shaped my perspective on life and fostered greater appreciation. His unwavering emphasis on education and constant encouragement to excel continues to influence my future aspirations. The transition from high school to university marked a significant step in my educational journey. While high school provided fundamental knowledge essential for everyone, university offers the opportunity to acquire specialized expertise and professional competencies in my chosen field. I firmly believe that maintaining strong organizational skills enhances productivity and allows for better focus on crucial tasks. Education serves as preparation for real-world challenges, both immediate and future. As Malcolm X wisely stated, "Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs only to the people who prepare for it today."

In conclusion, I have confidently determined that university represents the ideal path forward. My research into the University of South Wales has confirmed my area of interest and career direction. Submitting an early application demonstrated my commitment and satisfaction of entry requirements. Through dedicated effort to achieve my goals and develop my skills, I recognize that analytical and critical thinking abilities will prove essential for success. Given my enduring passion for caregiving, I aim to pursue a career in nursing or social work to fulfill my professional ambitions. The combination of my determination, appreciation for the field, enthusiasm, motivation, and formal education will create the optimal foundation for my desired future.
