Applying for DAAD Scholarship at the University of Ghana

I would like to apply DAAD Scholarships at the University of Ghana for the award of the 2020/2021 (DAAD) Scholarships to pursue Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in public health. I’m keenly interested in acquiring more theoretical knowledge and practical experiences in Health Science in general and mental health among young people in particular. Being equipped with the necessary theoretical knowledge, skills and practical experience in public health, I will return back to my homeland country and engage in activities that will yield significant personal and national contribution. I will support the community through provision of trainings, conducting research and project activities in the area of mental health improvement and strive for bringing real and lasting improvement in mental health at large among young people.

'Why are you a good candidate for this scholarship?' Now I will explain the reason why I am applying for this scholarship program. I found out that PhD specialization in Health sciences field best fits my deep-seated academic furthering inclination. Courses offered under this program are relevant to satisfy the requirements of the real world challenges. The world of young people is bright, exciting, sometimes unpredictable, yet always challenging, evolving and lives are continuing. This requires a hard working professionals who sustainably withstand the challenges and upgrade the skills and knowledge in light of the contemporary requirements of the world of public health, which I believe is number one quality I have in life.

I consider myself to be a good candidate for the scholarship to be offered by the Hungary Government, because I have learned all the basic techniques of health education and promotionand many other fields likepublic health and epidemiology, reproductive health, communicable disease control, basic and advanced Biostatistics etc. I have a lot of theoretical knowledge about these fields. I can do research in any field public health, epidemiology, health education and promotion. In addition, from my juvenile period to yet my feeling is to study applied research based public health or epidemiology. I have hopeful educational background that is hoped to be satisfying your need. I believe I can be an essential asset to the development of my country if I get the opportunity to be trained in the well-known and committed University of Debrecen against under employment of resources due to lack of knowledge, skills and experiences. I prefer to have this scholarship at University of Debrecen in the Doctoral School of Health Sciences faculty of health sciences. Because it is one of the most active and technological advanced University in research and technology transfer. It is heavily involved in many international research projects. The university is at the forefront when it comes to basic, advanced, and applied research. It has a reputation for quality teaching and innovative research.

With the academic knowledge and experience that I get hold of so far, I believe I would be a competent and take a scholarship position successfully. I am also certain that I will be an active, open minded student and useful member during my educational stay in your lovely program.
