Applying for Internship Program: Personal Statement

I have a great experience in writing sample for internship, so this is my internship essay example in. To start with, internships are often provided for a first-hand experience for what an individual’s career goals may be. In the case of this Houlihan Ranch Internship, the objective is to provide individuals with skills, experience, and an outlook into a related industry career path, that may be mirrored in future opportunities. On the other hand, internships are a combination of the student helping the teacher/employer as well. While an intern is present to learn, it is also their job to bring their best efforts to the table, and make the employer’s choice worth-while.

This internship would be a wonderful chance for me to learn skills that may be applied in my future lifestyle. There have been instances, where I have skills that I have learned over the years, but I haven’t had the chance to actually apply them to everyday use. Despite my family having land, we do not run cattle on it. I currently do not have easy access to working cattle or roping. I do, however, attend as many clinics of this nature when I can. In the internship essay it's needed to mention that I would like to expand my practice realm in a real life situation that prepares me for when I have my own ranch. In addition to horsemanship skills, I am interested in gaining the skills on the business side of the industry, in the sense of learning what it is like to run a ranch, sell and run stock, and run daily operations. While some of these skills may be gained from several internships, I personally respect the practices, morals, and experiences that are behind what makes Houlihan Ranch run. Similarly, I am passionate about supporting family run ranches before the more commercialized trainers/businesses. Personally, I feel that I gain more from the pure traditions and practices that make family-run ranches so special. While the things that I've mention in this internship application essay example they are what I would gain from the internship, in return, Houlihan Ranch would receive a hard-working and driven individual that is motivated to get each job done to the fullest of my abilities. I would promise to be fully committed to getting work done up to the standards of the ranch. When working with my peers, I would be respectful, understanding, and a team-player that combines everyone’s skills to make a successful team.

If I am selected to attend the Houlihan Ranch Internship, I would hope to have a horse chosen to bring along. Within this internship essay example it's needed to mention that at this moment, I am between ownership of horses, and have a few I am currently pursuing, some of which I have had riding experience with. For many years in the past, I have leased several horses, and I believe this has taught me more than always riding the same horse. Almost every clinic or lesson I would attend, I would be fortunate enough to ride a new horse, all of which have different levels of experience and riding styles. This helped me to always be flexible and quick to learn how to be successful on each horse. But for a while now, I have been seeking my own horse to own for longer than a year, and have been picking through several possibilities. Despite the horse I choose to come with, it will be a quarter horse with some experience in the ranch versatility and natural horsemanship training method, but will still be a horse that I would like to expand our training together on. To end up internship essay, I agree with the importance to bring my own horse, as I will get the most out of having my own. The horse I will bring will be up to date on Coggins and all upkeep/health records, as well.
