Dear committee members,
As I stand on the precipice of my college journey, contemplating the institutions that will shape my future, Emory University shines brightly as the beacon of intellectual curiosity, community engagement, and personal growth. The core values and vibrant community at Emory resonate deeply with me, making it the ideal destination to further my education and pursue my passions. The Emory supplemental essay prompts allowed me to delve deeper into my passions and articulate my unique perspectives and aspirations.
First and foremost, Emory's unwavering commitment to academic excellence has captured my attention. The university's rigorous curriculum, esteemed faculty, and innovative research opportunities are unparalleled. As a student eager to immerse myself in a challenging and intellectually stimulating environment, Emory's diverse range of academic programs, including its renowned business school and liberal arts offerings, provide the perfect platform for me to pursue my multidisciplinary interests. The opportunity to engage in cross-disciplinary collaboration, critical thinking, and experiential learning is not only intellectually invigorating but also essential for developing the skills necessary for success in today's dynamic world.
After my graduation I asked myself 'where do you see yourself in 5 years?' and my answer was - in nursing. After I graduated I decided to continue to grow as a registered nurse and then to pursue a master degree in Critical Care Nursing from Jordan University. I continue to seek more knowledge and clinical opportunities that will advance me professionally to practice at the highest level of my license.
The journey I chose is a lifelong learning as nursing it is about constant education and practise. I selected the Health Systems Leadership Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program in Emory University, well-known university nationally and globally recognized for excellence and quality. I chose the adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner program due to the education and experience I know.
Currently, I am working as a registered nurse at ProMedica Toledo Hospital, Ohio. With more than five years of working experience in: ICU and teaching. I am fully ready to join the DNP program to get an advance education. It is very rewarding to be in this reputable institution, to achieve my goal. At Emory University I expect a lot. Lots of education, training, knowledge, and extracurricular seminars by lectures in the areas of cardiovascular health, acute and chronic care, will be given by leaders in healthcare from the US top nursing experts and from around the world. I believe with the great commitment, and the motivation I have. I will expect great rewards and much benefit by employers in the health care industry and educational institution worldwide.
I conclude by saying, twenty-eight years ago, I was born in Emory Crawford Long Hospital. Today, I am hoping to return home and be a student at Emory University and practicing and working at the same hospital. Emory University embodies the ideals and aspirations that I hold dear. Its commitment to academic excellence, community engagement, personal growth, and inclusivity makes it the perfect institution for me to pursue my academic and personal goals. I am eager to embrace the opportunities for learning, service, and community involvement that Emory offers. I am confident that through my active participation, collaboration, and unwavering dedication, I will not only benefit from the Emory community but also contribute to its continued growth and success. Finally, I want to thank the committee for taking their time reviewing my application.
