Eye-opening Experience: Embracing Diversity & Multiculturalism

I had limited exposure to diversity and different cultures. However, it was during my high school years that I had a personal experience that completely shattered my preconceived notions and opened my eyes to the importance of diversity and multiculturalism.

Sophomore Year: Meeting Javier

During my sophomore year, a new student joined our school. His name was Javier, and he was originally from Puerto Rico. I had never met someone from Puerto Rico before, and I was immediately intrigued by his story and background.
