Entrepreneurship as a Calling

As I reflect on my life, I realize that I have always been drawn to the idea of entrepreneurship. The thrill of creating something new, the opportunity to be my own boss, and the ability to solve problems and make a difference in the world have always excited me. The more I learn about the field, the more passionate I become about pursuing it as a career.

I remember the first time I realized my interest in entrepreneurship. I was in high school, participating in a business competition, and my team was tasked with creating a new product and presenting a business plan to investors. As we worked on the project, I found myself fully immersed in the process of brainstorming, designing, and marketing our idea. We spent countless hours perfecting our pitch, and when it was finally time to present, I felt a sense of pride and excitement that I had never experienced before. Although we didn’t win the competition, I knew that this was just the beginning of my journey into entrepreneurship.

Since then, I have been continuously seeking out opportunities to learn and grow in this field. I have taken courses in business and economics, read books on successful entrepreneurs, and attended events and seminars on startup strategy. I have also started my own small business, which has taught me the value of hard work, determination, and perseverance.

My passion for entrepreneurship has led me to pursue a degree in Business, and I believe that West Virginia University’s Business department is the ideal place to do so. The school’s dedication to providing hands-on experience and real-world application of classroom knowledge is what drew me to WVU. The innovative curriculum, combined with the school’s location in a thriving business community, offers endless opportunities to gain experience and connect with industry leaders.

In particular, I am excited about the opportunity to study entrepreneurship at WVU, which offers a comprehensive program that covers everything from ideation to launch. The program’s focus on creativity, innovation, and problem-solving aligns perfectly with my goals and aspirations, and I am confident that I will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the field.
