My Motivation to Become a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)

While the whole world is trying to survive during this Covid-19 pandemic, all the countries are trying to provide the best Financial support to businesses without considering the business size whether it is an SME or a large corporation. Businesses always require financial support. Throughout, my educational and work experience, I have decided that I want to get involved in the Investment industry to advise and support SME businesses and help them to grow. While growing up from simple family background, my parent always wanted me to get into a simple government job, from where I will have a fixed salary and a reasonable amount of pension income. Even, I was believing in that too. However, it has completed changed since I have come to the United Kingdom. I have been putting my mind into everything like politics, Business, etc. and evaluate it and while studying in my Undergraduate degree, I have finally realized that Finance is one of the main keys that keep helps businesses to operate and businesses that support a country to run smoothly. Since that moment, all I am trying to do is building my knowledge in Finance and the curiosity kept increasing during my master's degree when I have learned about Financial Markets and Investment sectors. This fascinated me to pursue a degree a Finance and therefore, I have chosen to apply for this course.

Creativity, decision making, and being a key role in business make me interested to choose this subject. I do find myself interested in finance as for a company, finance is an essential department for every business. In real-life scenarios, businesses do require a business plan along with the financial projection, then a business requires an investment to do a smooth beginning and the process keeps going. During my undergraduate degree, I have learned about corporate finance, share valuation, interest rate inflations, and how the money values change over the year. This motivated me to learn more about finance. I started trying to involve myself with the corporate world along with getting admission for a master's degree. Over the postgraduate degree, I have come across to learn about the Financial Entrepreneurial Initiatives which contents about company share prices valuation, capital investment, private and venture capital firm, etc. I believe this course will support me more to learn in-depth finance and help me understand the basic and broad knowledge about finance which I firmly believe will help me to achieve my dream to become Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and support SME's and have my financial industry.

Since I came to the United Kingdom, I kept involving myself in the finance industry both in academic and real-life working experiences. I have been working a couple of accountancy firms where I was able to use academic knowledge and gained skills in financial projection, business planning, investment discussion, and many more. Even, one of our clients has received a local council SME grant of £5000 where the business plan and projection were prepared by me. I have also raised investment for a company where I have managed to get around £10,000 for that small company and got appreciated by the company. Moreover, during my undergraduate degree. I was awarded for a module name 'Business planning'. Therefore, I believe that all of my academic knowledge, skills and practical experience suitable for this course and will help me to accomplish this course.

Being a part-qualified chartered accountant and being involved and working in an accounting firm, brought me confidence and make me desperate to gain a finance degree and to become a CFA member. During this world of technology, accounting works are being done through online software like Xero. However, I believe that finance is a sector where a business will always require of Chartered Financial Analyst who will advise businesses about financing, investment, valuation, etc.

Also, being a Muslim, I have also identified that there is a big market gap in the United Kingdom about Islamic Finance. Therefore, not only this course will be to build my knowledge in Finance but also will increase my capability to analysis the Islamic finance route as many other countries like Australia, Dubai and many of them having a large sector working on Islamic Finance and in the UK, the demand is rising as well.

I always love to challenge myself and keen to learn my things. I am described as a hardworking, quick learner, and a business idea generator. I love putting myself forward to get involved in a business and my friends and family always ask me or get me to involve with any idea or business meeting to get my opinion. I believe, this finance degree will help me to accomplish my goal in every aspect.

Since I aim to become a CFA and support SME's to grow, therefore, there is no other better course and subject than this Finance degree to accomplish my dream. I believe that this course curriculum and your institutional support will help me to gain this degree qualification which will push me forward to accomplish my next goal. This accomplishment along with my current qualifications and work experience will improve me to appreciate my career plan as a Chartered Financial analyst.
