NYU - the Optimal University for Studying Medicine for Me

To earn an M.D degree at the cynosure of cultural dissemination that is New York University, would not only provide me with a platform to challenge myself immensely through their stimulating curriculum and courses, but would give me an opportunity to amalgamate my passion for pursuing medicine, my skills in communication, collaboration, and public speaking, and my expertise in the sciences to allow me to work at my best, and in the most meticulous way possible. With NYU’s creative approach to advanced learning, I am given the chance to bring out the creative version of myself. This allows me to put my knowledge into action, fully preparing me for the practice of medicine all the while allowing me to bring my innovative ideas to life. 

Above this, I greatly value NYU’s diverse student body, which encompasses individuals of varied interests and talents, as I am a multidisciplinary student who cherishes diversity and inclusion as they breed productivity amongst individuals and the ability to learn and grow from each other is exponentially expanded. Studying in an international environment would mean that I would gain regular exposure to cultures, practices and ideas, fostering mutual respect and teamwork with my peers in a pluralistic setting. 

The College of Arts and Science summer study abroad program is one in particular that I have profound vehemence for as it allows me to combine my love of traveling, and integrate it with the commodity of becoming immersed in a completely different environment. This enriching experience enables me to learn new languages, build new friendships, improve my career prospects in a globalised, well-connected world, and surround myself in completely different cultures. I am drawn to NYU’s Core Curriculum at CAS which not only further intensifies the significance of inclusion, but allows for a platform of intellectual perspective to flourish through intimate settings and heated discussions. 

NYU is the optimal university for studying medicine, as it would consistently provide me with the latest and most innovative technologies of our time, enhancing my medical education alongside making my experience all the more invigorating and enlightening. Not only is it in one of the liveliest and invigorating cities in the U.S, but it’s location provides me with a multitudinous array of opportunities to take part in various volunteer positions in the city, allowing me to holistically innovate and fully submerge myself in the medical field.
