I am in need of financial aid because I am in a family of six catered for solely by a single mother who takes care of the education of all my other siblings. One of my younger sisters will be enrolled into university this year, and the current financial strength of my mother, our sole guardian, is not enough to take care of her university education as well as myself. In this light, I may have to withdraw or defer for several semesters for her to be educated in a tertiary institution.

As said earlier, we are raised by a wonderful woman who doesn't always have a wonderful life. My mother got separated from my father who is currently married to and cohabitating with my step mother in Tamale. She been determined to raise smart and successful children including three girls and one boy, started selling breakfast in Savelugu. That is our only source of livelihood by our current educational demands is far exceeding the amount of profit my mother generates. She is not educated. She has devoted her life to supporting us, both financially and emotionally.

Our current situation and the situation of others in our local communities, especially those in foster homes, who have ended up dropping out school because of lack of support made me realize my personal intervention can make a difference in the lives of others.
