Continuing my education in the full-time MBA program at Bryant University would not only build directly on my undergraduate experience at Bryant, but would also provide the best means of launching my career in the business world when I graduate. Upon completing my undergraduate degree at Bryant this spring, I could think of no better place to continue my studies than the place I have called home since 2006. I know that an MBA from a prestigious school like Bryant University will undoubtedly help me in my goal of joining a leading strategy consulting firm such as the Boston Consulting Group or McKinsey & Company. In fact, the prospect of a fifth-year MBA program was one of the biggest reasons I chose to attend Bryant in the first place. That was my thinking four years ago, and I still have the same outlook today. I am therefore very excited to continue my pursuit of my longstanding academic goal.
In deciding to pursue an MBA directly after my completing my undergraduate program, I was faced with the skepticism of those who believe the better professional option would be to gain a few years of work experience before starting my graduate work. I feel, however, that the marketing-related internships I have completed throughout my college career have given me firsthand experience in marketing, corporate communications, and sales while directly exposing me to the professional world. The work experience I have gained, in addition to the solid education I have received in Bryant’s undergraduate program, have put me in a very promising position to attain my MBA and launch my full-time professional career with a global strategy consulting firm.
I look forward to the new challenges that await me in a rigorous graduate school program as well as the high-level training I would receive in a new, collaborative learning environment. The collaborative nature of graduate-level coursework emphasizes the teamwork and cooperation that is crucial to any successful team. Not only does it highlight how to succeed on specific research tasks and assignments, but it is also exactly what I would encounter when entering the strategy consulting field. The education and experience I would gain from Bryant’s MBA program would therefore undoubtedly prepare me for future projects with real companies that are facing strategic management and marketing challenges. The time and effort put into attaining a graduate degree from Bryant University will certainly qualify me to enter the management consulting field, where I would directly apply my business education and training.
The past four years of my academic and professional work have positioned me for future success. I can think of no better place than Bryant University to pursue my graduate studies. I know that Bryant’s world-class standing can help me land that exclusive consulting position with a prominent firm -- and the education and training I would receive from the full-time MBA program would give me the tools to succeed in my career.
