Crafting Messages that Matter

As a student who has always had a love for language and a talent for writing, I have always known that I wanted to pursue a career in writing. However, I wasn't sure which field of writing I wanted to explore until I stumbled upon the world of copywriting.

What drew me to copywriting was the unique blend of creativity and strategy that it requires. As a copywriter, I would have the opportunity to use my writing skills to create compelling and persuasive content that would help businesses and organizations achieve their goals. Whether it's writing a tagline for a new product or crafting a compelling email campaign, I am excited about the challenge of creating content that resonates with an audience and drives results. But what truly solidified my desire to pursue a career in copywriting was an experience I had while interning at a small marketing agency. During my time there, I was able to assist on a copywriting project for a local non-profit organization. I was tasked with writing a series of social media posts that would encourage people to donate to the organization's fundraising campaign.

As I sat down to write the posts, I realized that I wasn't just writing words on a page - I was crafting a message that could make a real difference in the lives of the people that the organization was trying to help. It was a powerful realization, and it made me realize that copywriting was more than just a job - it was a way to use my skills and passion to make a positive impact on the world.

Choosing St. John's University as my destination was an easy decision. The university's renowned reputation in business studies and its commitment to diversity and inclusivity made it the perfect place for me to hone my craft and further my education.
