What Makes Me a Successful UA Early College Student

I have always been college driven. When I discovered UA Early College at a college fair hosted by my school, Hewitt-Trussville High School, I was elated and eager to acquire more information and apply. I believe that UA Early College will give me a head start to completing my college goals. It has already given me a feel for what the college application process will be like. I will be equipped with the necessary skills needed for college classes, and when I get accepted and take part in the Summer on Campus program it will help be better-adapted with the college atmosphere when I will attend the University of Alabama full-time. When I will attend the University of Alabama in the fall of 2024, I will not have to focus on being nervous, but instead, focus on my upcoming classes for that semester. Following paper is my college application essay where I will share some of my strenght which make me a great candidate for UA Early College Student.

I possess four key skills that will make me a successful UA Early College Student. I have exceptional time management skills, study skills, communication skills, and the ability to remain academically honest at all times. I currently manage having a job and being a full-time high school student very well, with extra time to socialize with my friends and family. Time management will help me be an outstanding UA Early College student because I will be able to set aside time for my online classes. In addition to this, my school will give me a selected class period during the school day that will be dedicated to my UA online college classes. My study skills have always helped me throughout high school and will help me be a great UA Early College student. I can read material and listen to lectures and take good notes to study at a later time, and pass tests and quizzes. This is shown through my high GPA of 3.77. I have great communication skills that will help me be a successful UA Early College student. I can effectively communicate with my peers on collaborative assignments and efficiently complete the task given. I am also able to communicate with my instructors when I do not understand a topic or assignment. Lastly, I possess academic honesty. All work that is submitted by me has been solely completed by me. I do not believe in cheating or plagiarizing. In my opinion, you will never understand the material you are supposed to be learning if you're copying someone’s else's work.

In conclusion, I am eager to participate in the UA Early College program and embark on this transformative educational journey. I am confident that this program will not only contribute to my academic development but also shape my personal growth, fostering my love for learning, enhancing my skills, and preparing me for future success. I am committed to fully engaging in the program, making the most of the opportunities provided, and embracing the challenges that come with being an Early College student.
