First, in the 13th amendment it states that there should be no slavery or servitudes unless a person is convicted of a crime and is instructed to. Lastly, in the 15th amendment it states that the right of a citizen ability to vote shall not be denied or abridged by neither the US nor by any State on account of that citizens race, color, or previous condition of servitude.
