Personality is the special combination of qualities in a person that makes that person different from others, as shown by the way the person behaves, feels, and thinks. In this essay I will summarize some of my insights from self-awareness questions. Also I will be discussing my insights on the results from Big five, Negative affectivity, and emotional intelligence surveys. As well as my results from MBTI personality test and the careers that match my MBTI type.

Self awareness questions helped me understand myself more and discover my interests. I am always looking forward for my future. I set goals for myself and put plans to achieve them. I am passionate about the things I love. I am an artistic person and usually art is what I talk about most of the time. One of my dreams is to become a professional photographer. I have been facing difficulties that made me pause and stop working on myself to reach this dream and goal. What really held me back was fear that I wasn’t good enough and that was because I compared myself to others and their achievements. This made me realize that others worked hard to reach the place they are at now. If you have a dream you should pursue it and work hard and practice to gain experience.

I believe that I have so many good traits and skills that make me a successful leader. I have good communication skills. I am social, I like being surrounded by people. I am a responsible individual that is always willing to gain new experiences, learn from others, and always open to accept new ideas. People around me think that my leadership skills is one of my strengths. They think that I work well in a team and I always get the job done in the best way possible. Always put effort in the task in hand and look for solutions whenever I face a problem while working in a team or by myself. There is always room for improvement in our skills. I might need to improve my time management to concentrate on the task in hand because I usually get distracted and stressed sometimes. Some of my family members said that I can get frustrated easily and that I need to improve my anger management but I believe that in professional life I always keep my emotions on check and not let them interfere with the task in hand. Sometimes I can lose motivation and lose interest in a job or task. So I have to improve my self-motivation as well.

Personality Test: Reflection Оn My Results

I did the Big 5 survey and the results expressed so much about me as a person. I got a really high score in openness with a 98%, Conscientiousness 71%, Extraversion 75%, Agreeableness 77%, and neuroticism 29%. I am a very open person that thinks in an abstract and complex way. The survey suggests that high scorers tend to be creative, adventurous, and intellectual which is all true. I have the ability to exercise self-discipline that helps me achieve my goals. My high score in Extraversion indicates that I am an extravert that likes being surrounded by people and to be admired by others. I also got a high score for agreeableness. I always care for and consider others feelings. My low score in neuroticism shows that I tend to dodge negative thoughts and usually solve the problems I face and move on.

In the negative affectivity test I scored 11 in positive mood which is pretty low and 24 for negative mood which is high. I have been stressed lately and I have been experiencing a negative mood most of the time. I also did the emotional intelligence survey and scored 26 for both self-emotion appraisal and others-emotions appraisal. For use of emotion and regulation of emotion I scored 21. I believe I am an emotionally intelligent person. I need to control my emotions more to improve.

The Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator (MBTI) is a self-report inventory designed to identify a person’s personality type, strengths, and preferences. My personality type is ENTJ. It stands for Extravert 44%, Intuitive 22%, Thinking 28%, and Judging 25%. ENTJs are natural leaders, they spontaneously direct and Marshall. They usually are creative and always work hard to pursue their goals. This test really describes my personality. I always volunteer to lead. I take responsibilities and make sure that everything I do is perfect. ENTJs look for meaning in things. I try to form a deeper understanding of everything around me. I accept feelings and the test refers that ENTJs have control over their feelings and it helps them understand their surroundings better. It does not mean that I am emotional and that my emotions might control me and lead me to take irrational decisions. Creativity is what drives me and abstract ideas is what interests me. I always try to stand out and usually think about everything in a different point of view. I feel eager to be in power because sometimes I can’t trust anyone to put so much effort in a task as much as I would do. I am capable of observing peoples abilities and pointing out their strengths. So, I usually subject them to do certain jobs and tasks that fit their expertise.

ENTJs are natural leaders. They are confident, competitive, and great planners. The test referred that the best careers for an ENTJ is management or leadership positions. The job should not be chaotic and all over the place. I personally prefer organized and structured jobs. A job where everything can be planned and nothing is out of place. Such jobs help me stay focused and organized. As an open person I usually like to have some freedom to experiment and try different ways to perform a task. A project manager may be the best career that suits my personality. Project managers have to organize and supervise which I am good at. As a project manager I will be attentive to the smallest details and to the very final image. A project manager has to assemble meetings to follow up with team members and make sure everything is on track. Communication skills will be necessary to conduct the meetings and reports. Managing projects may be the perfect career for me.

After doing all these surveys, tests, and answering the self-awareness questions I have a clearer image of my personality. I understand my capabilities, strengths, and myself more. The results from the different surveys indicate that I have the characteristics of a leader. I am a creative outgoing person that is always open to new ideas and experiences. People around me notices the most outstanding traits in my personality. I am a smart, creative, responsible leader. I am passionate about the things I do, therefore I put so much effort in whatever job I perform. Gaining so much knowledge about myself makes me strive to pursue my dreams and goals. It made me realize that I am capable of making a difference in this world.

Expert Review
This essay provides a comprehensive reflection on the author's personality through various self-assessment tools such as the Big Five, Negative Affectivity, Emotional Intelligence surveys, and the MBTI test. The writer effectively links personal insights with test results, demonstrating a deep understanding of their traits and potential career paths. The narrative is engaging, showcasing a journey of self-discovery and growth. However, there are areas for improvement. The essay could benefit from more critical analysis of how these traits impact real-life scenarios beyond career implications. Additionally, while the essay is rich in personal anecdotes, it sometimes lacks depth in connecting these experiences to broader psychological concepts mentioned in the "Works Cited." More emphasis on this connection could enhance the academic rigor of the piece. Overall, it’s a thoughtful exploration but requires further analytical depth to achieve higher evaluation scores.

What can be improved
This essay presents a thoughtful exploration of the author's personality through various self-assessment tools, yet there are several areas where it could be enhanced. Firstly, while the narrative effectively integrates personal anecdotes, it occasionally lacks a deeper analytical connection to broader psychological concepts outlined in the "Works Cited." Strengthening these connections would not only improve academic rigor but also provide a richer context for the reader. For instance, discussing how specific traits from the Big Five correlate with real-life challenges or successes would elevate the analysis. Secondly, the essay could benefit from more critical reflection on how these personality traits influence interactions and relationships beyond career aspirations. Exploring scenarios where these traits manifest in personal life or group dynamics could add depth to the discussion and demonstrate practical applications of psychological theories. Lastly, incorporating counterarguments or alternative perspectives regarding personality assessments may enrich the discourse. Acknowledging potential limitations of self-assessment tools and reflecting on how they might impact one's understanding of themselves could further enhance this introspective piece. Overall, while it is an engaging narrative of self-discovery, enriching its analytical depth would significantly improve its overall quality.
