Greta Tintin Eleonora Ernman Thunberg, is a 17-year-old climate activist and the founder of FFF (Fridays For Future) that was born on January 03, 2003 in Stockholm, Sweden. Her parents were actors and opera singers (Malena Ernman and Svante Thunberg). She is also the granddaughter of the actor and director Olof Thunberg. She has a sister named Beata Ernman. Greta Thunberg said 'I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, OCD and selective mutism.’ OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) is a disease that give people the urge to perfect things that are already perfect and clean things until everything is spotless. Selective Mutism is the second disease the Greta has and it is a form of disabilities to speak caused by brain damage. Asperger’s Syndrome is the last disease she suffers from which is a developmental disorder related to autism and characterized by awkwardness in social interaction, pedantry in speech, and preoccupation with very narrow interests. She lived most of her childhood with her grandma as her parents were always travelling to preform

'Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned'?

According to BBC.com “On 20 August 2018, Thunberg, who had just started ninth grade, decided not to attend school until the 2018 Swedish general election on 9 September”. She is known for being a climate activist that has started multiple movements around the world. She has started a movement FFF (Fridays for Future) in which they campaign everyday in various countries they have reached outrageous numbers such as 4 million strikers in Brazil and 3 million in Paris and Amsterdam. One of the strikers from Fridays for Future (FFF) stopped the Swedish prime minister Stefan Loffvan on his way and asked whether they are trying to make changes in order to help the climate and he answered very sternly and calmly that they are trying to work on different projects to help ensure that the environment stays safe which proves that FFF is making great progress.

Greta has so far in her career made many achievements and is not planning to back down just yet, in fact she says that she doesn’t want to be doing this and she shouldn’t but she is forced to because she cares about her life and other people life’s. She has managed to get 4 Million people striking in brazil and 3 Million in Amsterdam.9 She plans to make her strikes for FFF more powerful and she wants people to hear her out and understand her message. She took a break during the winter as she quotes “I cannot strike all the time, it gets tiring trying to get stubborn adults attention, after all I’m not giving up, I’m taking a break so that I can come back stronger than ever and share my message with everyone, we will never back down until things change!” Everyone is waiting to see what kind of ideas she has up her sleeve for her next strike.

In conclusion, I chose to write the biography about Greta Thunberg because I lived in Sweden for 7 years and as I grew older I realized how much they try to help the environment and raise awareness. Greta Thunberg is one of the many examples that lead to show how dedicated Sweden is to helping the Environment and making changes. I started a small strike with my friends that ended up turning into maybe 100 other people striking with us which goes to show how much of an impact you can be. I feel like Greta Thunberg is very inspirational and dedicated to what she does, she has a goal and she doesn’t let anyone interfere with it. Hopefully one day the government make some changes and start helping out with these climate disasters because at the moment most countries that are polluted are within the Arabian Peninsula which goes to show how careless people can be. “Don’t say you care, show it!”
