Academic Goals for Studying Abroad for Erasmus Program

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to apply for admission to the Erasmus student exchange programme between Hanoi University and Ca’Foscari University of Venice in Italy. With this essay, I would like to explain my academic goals for studying abroad and show your university enormous interests in engaging and studying at your university.

Currently, I am a sophomore student of accounting major at Hanoi University. The idea of studying abroad has been formed in my mind from very early when I was a little girl. At that time, when seeing the beautiful pictures and impressive films from abroad, I was especial curious about anything around the world: rigorous sceneries, the foreigners, beautiful culture outside my country. Since then, that idea has been nurtured in me. However, due to the difficulties in finance, I have not done my dream yet. However, I do not give up. I made attempt to study and sought the opportunities. In fact, I always strive for what I aspire. Luck has smiled at me when I suddenly found out scholarship of Erasmus on website of my university. This is absolutely an amazing programme that helps me handle all the problems that I have confronted. I thought that it can be the only chance of lifetime for me to make my dream come true. Having studied for nearly two years has made me fully aware that accounting is a necessary and indispensable job. I love this area and have already set a goal to become an excellent accountant. I realised that a developed environment play a vital role for my success: notable facilities, good students and professional teachers… Therefore, I would honor this precious chance.

If I have a chance to enroll in your university, I will focus on my study and research on the theory and practices of becoming a professional accountant. I can approach to a modern and advanced system, practising and apply what I had learned into reality, comparing the similar and difference between companies in our country and your country at the same time. These are the problems to which I will try to find answer. I will try to learn an accountant’s professional skills.

When learning about your school, I was immediately impressed by the history and outstanding achievements of Ca’Foscari University. Firstly, your school is very prestigious with an excellent reputation in research such as wining many respected Marie Curie grants from the EU. In addition, Ca 'Foscari University is located in the world famous Venice city, it is very convenient to travel. Beside a huge amount of developed facilities and a perfect environment are the dominant strengths that fascinates me. Last but not least, I always want to fulfilment my dream of visiting Venice- a capital of Italia. Referring to Venice, a beautiful ancient city, channels that appears on films and a romantic, mystical and dreamlike atmosphere attracts me a lot.

In my university, I have prepared for myself all essential skills that will be needed for this course: academic knowledge, soft skills like presentation, teamwork and computer skill and the proficiency in English. Besides, I took part in many useful activities to becoming a good volunteer. At “Duong Tao Quan”, I tried to provide aid to help people to release fish and eliminate dropping plastic bags into the river. I also support children to perceive the skill of living in forests. I understand that your

Programme are highly competitive. But I do cherish this challenge and hope you admit my application. If I was accepted, I will be pound of being one of your members. Simultaneously, I would try my utmost effort to the competitiveness of your school. Not stopping there, I have decided to do graduate study in your school when exploring Erasmus supporting higher education. If I was accepted for this programme, it will be a solid step for me to live, study and devote myself to accouting.
