An Unforgettable Tour to Me Kong and Saigon

Whenever I thought about visiting Vietnam, Me Kong was always on the top of my list. Honestly speaking, I was a little bit afraid and confused before coming to this place because someone who has already visited this place told me that most local tour guides do not care much about the comfort of tourists and they drag you from one place to another very quickly. But thanks to Vespa Adventures for making my experience a great adventure and best tour ever! I booked Vespa Adventures for me and my friend by visiting the website and also called at their given contact number to confirm my booking. The price they charged was reasonable but I was concerned about the service as it was my first experience.

At sharp 7:00 am I found two scooters waiting for us in front of the hotel. We wore the helmets and they started the tour. Passing through every street, we got the chance to explore the local life of Me Kong. The pure rural life, the green fields, fresh atmosphere, no hustle bustle, and the comfortable Vespa ride made this tour superb. It was so wonderful to see so many varieties of seafood and meeting all those natives who were very hospitable and friendly. Visiting the ancient temple and other sacred places of Me Kong, I found myself completely indulged in traditions and local culture.

After spending the day at the rural life of Me Kong we were ready for having some fun at the city which rarely sleeps. I was most excited to visit the nightlife of Ho Chin Minh (Saigon). Though this city has a great history and famous for a lot of things, what captured my attention was food. This city has a big range of restaurants with a variety of food. I wanted to try everything they had on their menu. No doubt, the food was great but what made it so different was its way of eating. I found myself so naïve for eating what was there on the table but the friendliness of locals made it so joyful for me, especially when they taught me how to fold rice paper correctly.

Moreover, there are a few things to know before visiting Saigon, for example, don’t trust the name of the dish because it is not in English but in their local language. So when you order “hen” don’t expect chicken, this is what I expected but I was served baby clams. If you are vegetarian and thinking what this city has for you, trust me there is a variety of vegetarian restaurants and their dishes are full of creativity and artwork. Another fantastic thing I found in the city during my Vespa tour was live music café with an electric atmosphere named as Woodstock Bar. They were performing on the request of the audience. I would recommend everybody to visit that place in Saigon for live music and inexpensive drinks.

Overall we had a great experience and enjoyed every minute of that tour. The rides were comfortable and the drivers were skilled and very nice to us. They took care of our comfort and made that tour unforgettable for us. Thanks to Vespa Adventures for being a great help and a fun way to explore Saigon as, without the proper city guide, it was impossible for us to have such fun within the budget.
