The Mysterious Death of a Hollywood Icon

One of the biggest movie stars ever was found dead on August 5, 1962. What was the cause of Marilyn Monroe's death? No one really knows; it’s an unsolved mystery. Marilyn Monroe was a very famous actress, model, and singer. She was a role model for a lot of women, but some people hated her. Some people did not like how Marilyn Monroe dressed and how she had lots of high-profile affairs.

An Unsolved Mystery of Marilyn Monroe's Death

Many people believe that Marilyn Monroe's death was a suicide and not a murder. They believe that she died because of a drug overdose. The drug she supposedly used to commit suicide was barbiturates. She was found dead in Brentwood, Los Angeles, California, United States. The Los Angeles County coroner's office later claimed that Marilyn Monroe’s death was a suicide. However, the mystery deepens as no one truly knows how she died. She might have committed suicide, or she might have been murdered. Evidence suggests that Marilyn Monroe was murdered because she knew too much, had high-profile affairs, and had many rivals.

On the night of Marilyn Monroe's death, the police came to her house to investigate her death. In the room where Marilyn Monroe was found dead, there was no trace of vomit. Usually, when someone consumes a drug capsule like barbiturates, they are most likely to throw up after they consume the drug. In this case, there was no sign of vomit anywhere. There was also no form of liquid in the room she was found dead in. As a rule, when you are taking drugs as a pill, you would usually consume some sort of liquid to swallow the pill(s). But, in Marilyn Monroe’s bedroom, there was no form of liquid. Then how would she have consumed the drug?

When the autopsy result came back, there was a trace of barbiturates in Marilyn Monroe’s body. It was found in her blood and liver, but not in her stomach. Usually, when you take a drug as a pill, it usually and most likely will be found in your stomach. Knowing that barbiturates were found in her blood and liver but not in her stomach means that someone or Marilyn Monroe injected the drug into her. In the room where she was found dead, there was no sign of needles or a liquid form of barbiturates. Usually, when someone consumes a liquid for or drugs, they would inject it into them. Marilyn Monroe was found dead in her bed with a bottle of barbiturates in her hand. This goes to show that someone must have injected the drug into her body and placed the bottle of drugs in her hand.

It was the year 1972, one year after she was found dead. Construction workers were renovating her house when they found an extensive system of wiretaps in her house. People believe that the wiretaps were from the Mafia. Usually, there should not be wiretaps in your house unless someone put them there. People believed it was the Mafia that planted the wiretaps because they wanted information about the Kennedys and to blackmail them with the information they had. Private detective Milo Speriglio thought that the Mafia knew that Marilyn Monroe was not going to help them, so they murdered her.

Another thought he had was that the Mafia killed Marilyn Monroe so that Robert Kennedy would be framed for Marilyn Monroe’s death. That is why the Mafia is a suspect for killing Marilyn Monroe. Although everyone saw Marilyn Monroe as a girl who had everything, and that she was living the dream, that is not entirely true. Although she lived a fabulous and lush life, she suffered mentally and physically. Marilyn Monroe suffered from anxiety, health problems, and drug addictions. She had multiple miscarriages and suffered an ectopic pregnancy. She had tried to commit suicide multiple times. In one of the multiple suicide attempts, Marilyn Monroe called for help. If she did not want to live, she would not have called for help, but she did. Marilyn Monroe did seek help from Dr. Ralph Greenson about her drug use. There were a lot of mental illnesses in Marilyn Monroe’s family. Her mother, grandmother, grandfather, and others suffered from some type of mental health issues. Marilyn Monroe also consumed drugs because of her anxiety. The reason why Marilyn Monroe had been consuming drugs was because of her mental issues. She also consumed drugs to relieve her anxiety, and she sought help for her drug use.

Conclusion: A Case for Murder

There are other arguments to suggest otherwise, but based on the combination of all of the evidence, it can be rationally argued that Marilyn Monroe was murdered and that she did not commit suicide. Someone must have injected the drug into her body. I know this because there was no sign of barbiturates in her stomach, but it was found in her blood and liver. On the night of Marilyn Monroe’s death, there was no sign of water to consume the drug and no vomit after she consumed the drug.
