Babe Ruth was a outfielder he had a of nicknames. His nicknames were the Great Bambino,The Sultan Sweet, And The big bam. Babe Thereafter, George Herman Ruth Jr. was known as the Babe. The Babe performed well for Dunn and the Orioles, leading to the sale of Babe to the Boston Red Sox by Dunn. While Babe ruth is most known for his prodigious power as a slugger, he started his career as a pitcher, and a very good one at that.Background- Babe Ruth was born on february 6, 1895. He was born in Pigtown Baltimore. He died on August 16, 1948. He died in Manhattan New York City.

Babe Ruth went to Cardinal Gibbons School. When Babe Ruth was just a kid he lived in a brick row house. In 1946 Babe Ruth got diagnosed with throat cancer.
