RAD Model

1st Advantage – Measurable Progress

With frequent iteration measurable progress allows components and prototypes and the overall project to be easily measured, monitored and evaluated to maintain the schedule and the budgets.

This benefit is valuable in situations; for example, if new parts, components or changes from the porotypes or anything with the system that needs to be made this will allow you to easily measure where you are and where you need to be to maintain the schedule and budgets of this project.

2nd Advantag – Compartmentalization of System Components

By forcing designers and developers to create components that are functional and work by there self, to be used in a duplication release or a prototype. Each one of theses elements within the system is placed and divided into desecrate sections and this will allow easy modification if the software needs to evolve.

This is valuable in situations; For example, when the software needs to develop into something better they will be able to select which element they need to modify to improve the system. For example the speed of the system, In a Situation they might need to modify a certain element to allow the system to perform faster and this allows them to easily access it.

3rd Advantage – Rapid, Constant User Feedback

In RAD they allow near-constant user interfacing and feedback though frequent iterations and prototypes being released allowing the entire team priceless evaluations and criticism when they need it the most. • In situations this is very valuable; For example, When developing the software if an element isn’t working to the function that users want it to or they want something added, is this where they will be able to learn what they need to change or add to benefit there customers or users, this also benefits them because they won’t need to change it in the future.

Spiral Method

1st Advantage – Risk Management

The project is typically divided into small parts and the risky ones are taken care of in the earlier stages in the development. This is valuable in a situations; for example, If they discover that something planned isn’t working as expected in the design phase, you can easily change it on the next cycle, so they won’t have to worry about wasting time fixing it now.

2nd Advantage – Extensive Use Of Prototypes

Due to using extensive amount of prototypes with each of them being closer to the final product it allows the customers to see the product early on in the development and is able to provide valuable feedback to suggest changes according to their requirements. In situations this can be valuable; for example By using lots of prototypes closer to the final product it allows the customers to give advice for what they want to meet their requirements. This is valuable because they are the ones who are going to be using this software to benefit them and you want it to be perfect for them because you want them to you it.

3rd Advantage – Change to Design

Changes towards the design can be introduced at any stages of the development life cycle and can be easily fitted in to the process if necessary. This is Valuable in situations; for example, if they receive feedback or suggestions for the design of the system this will allow them to easily fit it into a stage and then on the next development cycle you will be able to add the feature.
