Biography and Career of Selena Quintanilla

Selena Quintanilla was a songwriter, actress, and fashion designer in her lifetime. Her life was cut short when. Her business partner became greedy. She died young but was very successful. She has many awards and achievements going her way.

What had sparked her whole career in the music industry had been her pure dedication and focus to make a living and be successful. It became more like a family business. Her father was involved in much over her life especially her music career.

As her career grew and she became more and more famous she started to get more recognition. Other industries would give her contracts to sign with them and advertise products for them. She signed with Coca Cola, that was her biggest contract and her first steps into the advertising business. For some of the time being while she was alive, she got into modeling. She would be almost a like a free agent and get signed by other designer clothing companies. She was known for her Latin America dressing and her exotic way of dressing while on stage.

During these moments things were coming together and she was just starting to skyrocket in her career as a very talented woman making a living for herself. She was also decided to get involved in acting. Various got the bright idea to use Selena as an actor because of how much her influence had in the business.

Selena worked with her father on pretty much everything during her short career. She was also an American singer along with Spanish music. She wrote and produced her own songs and then her father would be there with her to have it looked at and be put into the world of music for everyone to enjoy.

Selena even though her cart didn’t last too long she was able to make some amazing achievements. During her career she was able to get a Grammy. She won the Grammy for having the best Mexican/ Mexican American album. She made it to the top of the billboard list for Latin albums Artist of the year. Selena also earned the ALMA award for the most outstanding album.

Though Selena was lover by so many she killed by one of her own fans. She had appointed her biggest fan. Yolanda Saldiver leader of a club to be manager. After a long while companies and fans would complain. The father confronted the manager and so the Yolanda lured Selena to a back room and shot her in the back twice and Selena later died from the amount of blood loss.

Selena left her mark on the world. She had such and huge mark in the world. She had such a huge mark in the world during the time she had a statue of her own called “Mirador de la Flor” (Selena Seawall). She gets about 30,000 visitors per year.

During her career she had a guitarist who she fell in love with and married name Chris Pérez. From 1992-1995 when she died. Selena was born April 16, 1971 in Lake Jackson, TX and died on March 31, 1995.
