Biography of Andy Warhol – a Phenomenon in The Art of The Xx Century

This man with an unremarkable appearance and a shock of white hair has become a real phenomenon in the art of the XX century. He surpassed all his predecessors, tried to 'introduce art to the masses.' We had everything we needed for everyday life, it was completely individual and unique for our own style. Andy Warhol can be treated differently, love and hate him, but he certainly does not leave anyone indifferent.

The future rebel and innovator was born in 1928 in the USA, in Pittsburgh. His family was an emigrant from the Austro-Hungarian Empire, now this area has become part of Slovakia. In 1949, Andy graduated from Carnegie Institute of Technology with a bachelor of fine arts degree in graphic design. This trend is best suited to Warhol's style. Learn that he was not. The next step in his career was an invitation to work as an illustrator in the fashion magazines Vogue and Harper's Bazaar. A year later, he will see his first success after advertising shoes. Success brought him a solid house in Manhattan and made it possible to experiment with art.

Warhol created incredibly popular and popular portraits of celebrities today - Marilyn Monroe. He experiments using graphics, creates images using everyday, everyday objects - Coca-Cola bottles and cans of Campbell's canned soup. These works are valued differently by critics and the public. It is believed that all this is recognized as commonplace and a sign of bad taste. All that was needed was created for its creator and the pop art and conceptual art he created.

Having become rich, Andy gets the opportunity to express himself in different directions of art. His personal studio called “Factory” becomes a club for a variety of progressive celebrities, as well as the center of everything conceptual in American art.
