Career in Dental Hygiene

In my pursuit of a career, I have come to the decision that dental hygiene is the path that I want to take. This decision stems from a personal experience I had as a child, where I suffered from tooth pain due to my consumption of sugary foods. The pain and discomfort I endured during that time inspired me to help others improve their oral health and provide them with qualified preventive care.

In order to be successful in this field, certain skills and qualities are necessary. I am confident that I possess these skills, such as being open-minded, detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed. I am also able to remain calm and focused in stressful situations, ensuring that I can provide optimal care to my patients. These skills will be essential in sensitizing people about the risks of poor oral hygiene, as the oral cavity is a highly sensitive area that requires accuracy and precision.

Moreover, the need for dental care and preventive measures has increased in recent years, putting a significant amount of stress on dentists. Dental hygienists play a crucial role in providing preventive care and assisting in the treatment of patients with dental problems. Some of the essential duties of a dental hygienist include brushing and polishing teeth, flossing, sealing teeth to prevent cavities, and educating patients on how to improve their dental health.

Once I have earned my first accreditation as a dental hygienist, my goal is to faithfully represent society and continuously improve in the profession. I also envision myself working as a hygiene coordinator in a dental clinic, where I can contribute to the overall organization and efficiency of the practice.
