Child Abuse Issue in Malaysia

Abuse refers to mental and physical abuse against humans. While child abuse is often in the form of an action, there are also examples of inaction that cause harm. Child abuse is not a new issue in Malaysia that has even become an issue that confuses all the people in our country. From the newspaper, we will find that the number of cases of child abuse in Malaysia continues to increase. Indeed, children are God's precious gifts to every couple. But they don’t really gratefully to God and don’t really appreciate what they got now even they know that child is their connectors of their family. According to a report released by Utusan Malaysia recently, 70 percent of child abuse cases were conducted by their own parents while 30 percent were carried out by maids. This bad temperament scenario should be addressed as soon as possible. There are several factors that we can relate to child abuse cases which are parents pressured by the boss at work, economic pressured factor and parents lack of religious education.

The first major factor that always we heard about child abuse is from parents. Parents are too stressful when they at work. Stress at work is one of the catalysts for child abuse cases. For working parents, they definitely need to face with many things that can make they are really stressed in the workplace. Parents who cannot control their emotions will make their children as a place to release their anger and pressure. Parents who do not think ahead and think twisted is more dangerous because the possibility to they to do anything to their children such as strolling, beat or something else is high. Should these innocent children be treated like animals?. Clearly that uncontrolled emotional will result children to become victims of abuse.

So, the next case of child abuse is also supported by the economic pressures faced by parents. The cost of living is increasing at this time, so they need to earn more money and these people are forced to work hard to support their families. Financial problems often occur as parents feel overwhelmed. Some parents also force their children to work to earn money for self support. All this was released to the little one who at that time needed love from both these noblemen. This situation will be sad to anyone who hears this abuse case. Children who are supposed to be protected and guarded by parents are now beaten because their parents are stressed about earning income and money. It is clear that economic problems in raising children will lead to child abuse cases.

Thirdly, the lack of religious education among parents is also closely related to the problem of child abuse. Religious knowledge is a major cause that guarantees the happiness and peaceful of a family. religious knowledge will cause a family to be guided in the right way with religious education or parents will be defrauded in doing something inappropriate to her child. This has led some parents to punish their children for the effects of lesions, bruises and possibly bleeding in the brain. Some parents also might abuse their child by emotional abuse, physical abuse, nor sexual abuse. So that we can see how educated the religion plays an important role in our daily lives. As a parent, we should be grateful to have children instead of abusing them. Perfect religious education is very important in addressing this problem.

To sum up, abusing a child in Malaysia that affecting children from birth to 18 years of age is increasing. There are different types of child abuse which is emotional abuse, physical abuse, and sexual abuse. There are three main causes of child abuse which are parents too stress at work,economic pressure and religious education problem. I hope that there already no abusing among the children in future. All children supposed to get full cared and full attention by their parents.
