The computer is the biggest invention of the modern era. We are living in a world full of technologies and we cannot imagine our lives without computers. When we are sleeping, we are using technology, when we are eating, we are using technology, it looks like that we could not survive without computers. We use it a lot because it is very easily accessible to us in form of Tab, Mobiles etc. Computers have allowed easy access to information, it has also allowed people to stay connected 24/7, 365 days a year. Nobody can imagine his life without the internet. The Internet has contracted the distances. Even that you are at thousands mile away from your family and friends but just pressing one button you can talk them on video or audio call. The computer has become an essential part of our lives. Nowadays computers are just like oxygen, without it life is just like a body without the soul.

As Stephen Hawking has said,

"We are all now connected by the Internet, like neurons in a giant brain." (Stephen Hawking)

The computer has changed the world into a global village. Today the whole world is on our fingertips. Just click a button and move within a second at anyplace, anytime, and anywhere you want to go in the world. Nowadays people are connected with each other through the internet like neurons in a giant brain, but actually, they are not close to each other from the core of heart. Nowadays people try to find their friends on an internet but no one knows about their neighbors. Everybody wishes to have a huge social network but nobody cares about their relatives and neighbors which are really connected with them.

"I believe the relationships we nurture within our families [and circle of friends] can be the most essential connections of our lives."

(Tyler Stark)

People are more likely to seek friends/social connections on social networks, which takes away from the general sense of being connected, our brains did not evolve to connect with a person through a screen and some text, we need real tangible people to be with which our brains can interpret. Simply said, a virtual world experience is not the same as a real-world experience.

While excess communication may not truly benefit us in our daily lives and only cause low communication between us. One may argue that it is affecting the people of today in a completely negative way, thus making them anti-social. Although the computer has made our life comfortable, it has also some drawbacks. Due to the existence of the internet and information technology people are having a social life problem. In my opinion itself, technology is not a bad thing it depends upon the usage of technology. Everything has a side effect as

David Wong has said, "New technology is not good or evil in and of itself. It's all about how people choose to use it." (David Wong)

People do not go out for outing and gaming they spend most their time on social websites. Even that children have no time for their parents and they may have a bad company and can be addicted to smoking, drinking and other social evils.

Besides Children are too much addicted to computer games rather than other outdoor activities and finally, our future generation is becoming more machine dependent and physically disabled. Sports and games teach us patience and how to fight loneliness and isolation. When someone goes out for gaming he meets and attracts with other people.

In this way, he tries to lose his loneliness. Sport also teaches us teamwork. So, if we work with the team we never fell prey to loneliness and isolation.

Emma Stone said, "You know how sports teach kids teamwork and how to be strong and brave and confident? Improv was my sport. I learned how to not waffle and how to hold a conversation, how to take risks and actually be excited to fail." (Emma Stone)

In old days people were close to each other they sit together and have good words for each other but now a day people spent all of their time in front of computer due to which all these good things that were happening in their lives have been evacuated from their life. These things are directly affecting our minds and ultimately our health.

Its human nature that people remain attached to someone until they need help from someone, so nowadays we are getting everything from the internet for example if we want to know anything or want to get knowledge about something we just use the internet and get our self-cleared from any kind of confusion so why we need to sit with our elders and have some words.

Technology creates an elaborate social network online but unfortunately leads to isolation. online communication replaces face to face interaction with human beings. In addition, social networks also replace a few strong social connections with a large number of weak connections, leading the circumstances where one can have a large number of friends but few one actual real-world friends. This can lead to loneliness and isolation. This can also lead to depression and a feeling of loneliness. People can have serious diseases due to isolation according to the Dalai Lama.

"Too much self-centered attitude, you see, brings, you see, isolation, loneliness, fear, anger and the extreme self-centered attitude is the source of suffering." (Dalai Lama)

The B.C. Ministry of Health defines loneliness as "subjective and measured using questions that seek perceptions of relationships, social activity, and feelings about social activity. Social isolation is objective and can be measured using observations of an individual's social interactions and network." Although loneliness and isolation are related, they refer to distinct aspects of the social world of older people. Hence "the terms should not be used interchangeably to refer to a single concept."

(B.C. Ministry of health)

Loneliness and social isolation are a complex condition which has been researched recently. We think that social media allows access to stay connected with our loved ones 24 hours but new researched has proved that social media lead our isolation and loneliness. The report suggests that if we spend more than two hours on the social network we fell into loneliness. The University of Pittsburgh makes a research questioning 1,787 people, aged between 19 and 32 about their most popular social websites like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and google plus in 2014. They found that people who visit social networks over 58 times a week are three times more likely to feel lonely than those who use sites under nine times.

The great scientist Albert Einstein said, "I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interactions. The world will have a generation of idiots." (Albert Einstein)

Social media decreases the face to face interactions between human beings. It has also decreased the importance of real-world relationships this leads to the isolation. This is also going to lead to some serious issues. One of them is decreasing the communication skills. Most people think that the English language can be neglected while online so, they use a short version of words to convey a message quickly. it decreases their social skill when they use this kind of words and phrases.

Whether people are willing or not to accept that social media has several bad effects on their life. While technology makes communication faster and easy but it has also bad effects on the cultural life of people. Social media has also issues of privacy, trust, and security but, logically thinking itself technology is not bad it depends upon only the use of technology. The computer was invented for the benefit of human beings, but unfortunately, we are not taking benefit from it. It seems that we became the slaves of our invention. Instead of controlling it, the computer is controlling us. It is wasting our time in such a nice way that we are enjoying our destruction.

Due to the bad effects of the internet and overusing of social websites people have started to lose their ability to talk with others properly. Technology has made the language lazy and also made people uninterested in meeting with others personally. Overall, the internet can be beneficial with proper limitation and normal face to face interactions. But currently people are not doing this instead, they are overusing it and allowing it to impact their lives negatively. So, it is easy to conclude that the negative effects of social media are more than any benefits that they may provide to society at this time. Briefly speaking we should minimize the use of social sites like Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube which has become a trend. There should be a balance to use these sites, so we should pay heed to our physical activities.

"Humanity is acquiring all the right technology for all the wrong reasons."
