Cricket, the famous sport that brings out the patriotism is making sure that it’s killing any sport that falls on its path. It is obviously known that the sport has been a bridge among the people. The importance given to this sports makes sure that other sports don’t see the light of day. Product endorsement, the advertisers queuing up at the stars to sign deals for advertisements which are in no way related to the sport that they play makes sure that they as well as the sport remains in the mind of the people.

The not so famous proverb of “small plants don’t grow under a big tree” seems to be tailor-made for these kinds of “keep under the thumb” situations. The Board, the government, the people and the media are the people who are lifting the sport and not even considering any other sport.
