Introduction

The power of discipline and a correct mindset can make you a billionaire. Having a correct mindset and great discipline can lead you to great things. A mindset is the view a person adopts. Many opportunities can be reached if certain aspects are developed, and these aspects are mostly gained with discipline and sacrifice. Whether our abilities and characteristics may vary between each person, the growth mindset, or the fixed mindset don't. Carol D. Weck, a Stanford University scientist, once said people with a fixed mindset 'care so much about how smart they will appear that they often reject learning opportunities' instead of taking advantage of their full potential. Other people, who have a growth mindset, always have the eagerness to learn more and want to take advantage of their full mental and physical potential. Most thinkers started with an idea that launched them to success, but they always had a growth mindset. 'Students who held a growth mindset were three times more likely to score in the top 20% on the test, while students with a fixed mindset were four times more likely to score in the bottom 20%.' Discipline leads to success. Self-discipline usually comes down to two key factors: time & pleasure. Your mind runs a quick simulation of all the activities it could do and compares them. First of all, you need a motto to get committed to what you really want, and set goals for yourself. One of the most important aspects is to follow through; you may also fail, but that is part of the learning process. Let go of the idea of perfection; nothing in this world is perfect, and businesses value imperfection as it allows room for growth and improvement.

Journey Towards Success and Discipline

Many people tend to focus on the feeling of the final result, the long journey towards the goal is actually the most important thing. Humans have the nature or the mindset post by society that everything we do has to have a instant gratification. But the actual people that are successful didn't create or achieve their success overnight. In real life if you ask any successful person can tell you that any small prize or accomplishment was granted because of their hard work and time spent in something they are passionate about it.

Success is a controversial and powerful word. Many of us go after it, but most of just want to be fulfilled with ourselves. So, what is success? Does success means earning money or being famous? Success has different meanings depending on each type of person. Success is commonly defined as “The accomplishment of an aim or purpose”. This doesn't means this definition is the same for every body, many people see success in different ways, this definition is actually what is success in theory. And for me the true definition of success is understanding our dreams and working hard and with passion to make those dreams come true.Albert Einstein 'Try not to become a man of success. Rather become a man of value.' as I already said success is not only to be good financially and being famous. Being successful is being fulfilled with our own bodies and mind. To start your journey to accomplish your goals you have to start with an objective if you want to be as successful as you dream of being. So in other words, the first step for being successful is the person knowing what they want, what it is exactly that motivates them. The main point is that success cannot be put into one category. And comparing your goals with the other person would be like comparing my beard to Dopuch´s beard, or chuzo to pasta. Everyone is one of a kind.

The way life is planned for every one of us is different and so are our goals and perspectives of success. To conclude, success varies from person to person, which means one thing completely different for every person, but at the end is to satisfy ourselves. Many experts connect emotional intelligence with success. Emotional Intelligence is defined as a “ way of recognizing, understanding and choosing how we think, feel, and act. It shapes our interactions with others and our understanding of ourselves”. These two are directly connected to each other because with a well-balanced emotional state we can get anywhere. For example, people with correct self-awareness are able to speak correctly, accurately and openly about their emotions and the impact they have on their work. For the ones that feel that having their loved ones around them, gives them a quality life and in s certain way serenity, are the ones that will be fulfilled the most when they succeed.

Importance of Discipline and Emotional Regulation

A person who cares about the whole society, has a stable emotional state because they know how to think when pressure hits and will always find a way to solve a problem. Those people that are emotionally intelligent know how to manage their emotion-feelings depending on each situation. Mark Zuckerberg most known as the guy who created Facebook once said “More than pictures and comments people say on Facebook help us know what is their emotional state and we take it in account” this meaning that more than winning tons of money creating one of the biggest if not the biggest social media of the 21st century, he is known for the controversy this page has created. Facebook has been known for using the emotional states that we reflect on posts and start to show us ads that can trick our emotional state maybe for good and sometimes for bad. Being emotionally intelligent can also bring us one of the most important characteristics for being successful this being, self regulation. Being able to self regulate ourselves, frees us from being imprisoned in some way by our feelings.

Self-regulation is so important for successful people in a way that they are able to control their feelings and impulses and are able to create a feeling of trust and fairness for others. Habits can be either good or bad, habits seems to be taken as something bad, at least for most people. Humans are creatures of habits. Each of us has different sets of routines or habits that we do daily. Routines that we do every day play an important part in our lives. Habits help us do things without having to think too much about them. If we create a set of habits that makes us better every day are an important step of being successful. Earning bad habits are easier to gain that good habits, that's way when we talk about managing success we have to concentrate on the good habits which are the ones that motivates us to keep going and never stopping. To create a discipline of having good habits we first have to search for a goal. For example, if your goal is to have a great physique, some habits you may start taking in account are those that benefit your body. Some habits we can start creating to accomplish that goal are, waking up early in the morning, exercise, sleep well, eat healthy. The one is recommended is to take step back of social media I am not saying delete your apps, but learn to manage your time and try to detox your body before accomplishing your goals.

We all know that being successful has its pros and cons and successful people can more likely be alone, because of the many sacrifices they had to make to get where they are right now. There are also a lot of examples of people who have achieved success and become famous and rich but never learned how to manage this and their health and social lives failed because they cannot handle the stress that comes with handling that image of perfection that is expected of them by society because many of them are seen like heros. This leads me to talk about one of the biggest topics of success that are the shocks and aftershocks success leaves you the hardest ones are the shocks and aftershocks of failure. When we fail, we have a lot of mixed emotions the most common ones are hopelessness and high levels of anxiety. But the worst of all is that we downgrade ourselves and we see us as victims of our own failure. For success, the shocks are easy to live thru but there are always cases when this shocks cause so much damage to our mental health doesn't let us keep on with our lives.

After talking with my expert Maria Eugenia Martelo, about her experience in business and how she started in 2015. She and her husband stated a new venture with cattle racing , rice plantations and sustainable palm oil. It all start from an idea after her family business was dissolved and the land and the business was distributed among the siblings. She explained to me how she at the begin failed but after learning why she failed now has a well structure business and already earned money she invested. This shows how she always had a great attitude and she explained how she never changed her habits and kept going until she accomplished her goal of having all her plantations. Success and mindset are a collective and corresponding term. Without serenity and love, money and fame don’t count as success because at the end we always want to feel accomplished and happy. True success would satisfy your body and soul, it would fill your life with happiness. Remove from your mind the idea of comparing your life with someone else’s some people are born in rich families and don't need to work and some need to work hard to be rich we can compare our lives but for good as a motivation.

Conclusion

Every person follows a different path good or bad they choose which one they want. It doesn't matter how difficult or impossible the goal seems to be always have in mind that with discipline and a correct mindset it's all possible and most important, never quit. Keep working hard and one day it will all pay off. Don’t set your goals to just make money. Listen to your inner self and follow it. Try to be a better version of yourselves before becoming a successful version. The only person that can feel successful is the one that is in peace with everyone and feels good about themselves. Anne Sweeney, who was president of the Disney channel from the years 1996 to 2014. Once said, “Define success on your own terms, achieve it by your own rules, and build a life you’re proud to live.”.
