Costa Rica. Just the name sounds relaxing. Costa Rica is a beautiful country filled with so many places. Were gonna find out Costa Rica’s climate, their language and it’s location. So come along while I introduce you to Costa Rica! Let’s get started with climate. The Pacific coast around Guanacaste, on the other hand is hot and dry, perfect for the many world class beaches. Costa Rica itself has an average temperature of 70 F and 81 F. Due to proximity to the equator, it has no real summer or winter. It does however have a rainy season from May to November. The best time to visit Costa Rica is from mid-December to April (the dry season) This peak tourist season boasts plenty of sunshine making it an ideal time for exploring rainforests and lounging on beaches. That said, the dry season is the most popular time to visit. Costa Rica’s official language is Spanish.
The Variety spoken there, Costa Rican Spanish, is a form of Central American Spanish. Costa Rica is a linguistically diverse country and home to at least five living local indigenous languages spoken by the descendants of pre-Columbian peoples: Maleku, Cabecar, Bribri, Guaymi and Buglere. Immigration has also brought people and languages from various countries around the world. And lastly we have location. Located in the continent of Central America, Costa Rica covers 51,060 square kilometers of land and 40 square kilometers of water, making it the 131st largest nation in the world with a total area of 51,000 square kilometers. Costa Rica became an independent state in 1838, after gaining it’s sovereignty from Spain. The population of Costa Rica is 4,636,348 and the nation has a density of 91 people per square kilometer. The currency of Costa Rica is the Costa Rican Colon. As well, the people of Costa Rica are referred to as Costa Rican. Costa Rica shares land borders with 2 countries: Nicaragua and Panama. San Jose is the capital of Costa Rica. It has a population of 335,007.
San Jose is also the political center of Costa Rica, which is considered a Republic, and home to it’s Executive head of state. I’m so glad we got to know a little bit about Costa Rica. Costa Rica is a beautiful and breathtaking place. Reading about it seems cool but actually visiting it is amazing. I do suggest going to Costa Rica on vacation because it just seems like a unique place. I hope you take my advice because I would never past it up. Never pass up Costa Rica.
