To the world's knowledge, humans are the only smart, civilized creatures in the universe. Many would think that should make humans superior and better than every other animal, but is that true? Just because they have better cognitive skills than other primates doesn't make them better, even though some people seem to think otherwise. Humans think that they are improving upon a situation when in fact they are just trying to solve a bigger problem that they created themselves. In fact, humans are the most dangerous animal on earth. Would removing humans from the equation create a natural equilibrium between the Earth's planet and animal life? Many do not know, but think that it will at least not have such a negative impact as what they're doing now.
In the past in the atmosphere there always has been the same amount of greenhouses. Since 1750 there has been an increase of greenhouse gas emissions from practically 0 tons per year up to 35 billion tons per year by the world. The CO2 concentration parts per million increased from 25 up to 35. This is extremely damaging to the environment and the earth’s climate. The increase in temperature can create an increase in natural disasters which is damaging to animal habitats. Since humans are more intelligent and the ones causing the problem then they should be protecting the animals. It shouldn’t be left up to the incapable ones to solve the problems that they can’t fix. It’s more damaging to them than the humans and it’s the humans doing it. Before humans, there wasn’t this problem of environmental damage which allowed animals to live in a self-sustainable environment. The only reason there is so much gasses being produced is that nonrenewable sources of energy are cheaper then renewable sources. Even though this allows bigger company’s to make more money their also causing more harm to the planet. What can they even spend the money on if there is nothing left? They don’t think about the fact that even though they’ll have lots of money they’ll be dead before they can spend it.
Humans are self-destructive when it comes to contact with each other. Adding to what Is said in the previous paragraph humans kill themselves through ways like pollution. Pollution is not only bad for the environment but it also damages humans through the means of destroying crops, increasing droughts happening and it helps spread the region’s that malaria-ridden mosquitos can breed. Likewise, these problems of human damage have been happening all through time. In history there have been many wars against two different sides, they always ends in the same loss and devastation. In the past instead of humans' main focus to be create and improving upon civilisation they instead decided to destroy it. Nearly every other species struggles to progress and evolve while humans are making it increasingly difficult for them. For a successful eco system it requires many different species and even removing one of them can destroy it and that’s what humans are doing. It’s inevitable that’s a species that kills itself will not be successful but humans have lived for thousands of years. The question should be asked, would you like to progress in civilisation or be held back by wars and loss?
Even though humans have had a short lifetime in comparison to the earths lifetime they’ve already had a lasting effect on it. According to abcnews.com by the year 2030 humans will have made a irreversible climate change at the speed their emitting greenhouse gasses. Not only does this make it difficult for life to continue it also makes it increasingly difficult for new life to start and changing the climate of may make it a no longer suitable breeding ground for microorganisms to evolve and create a new species of creatures. To humans knowledge their the only living sentient life in the universe which means destroying earth creates a problem for them. There won’t be anywhere for the humans to go once they’ve destroyed their own planet. If humans were removed though they greenhouse gas emissions would drop rapidly and stop affecting the wildlife. This would allow the earth to go back on track with a set level of greenhouses gasses allowing the planets and animals to evolve to their new situation. Even though it would be hotter and greater climate variations animals would be able to adapt to their new surroundings and create and new bio diversity.
Humans have outlived their stay. Many of the problems that humans think that they are solving are just in fact them trying to fix things that they created. It’s an endless vicious cycle that keeps repeating except each time it gets worse and has a lasting effect. Humans do help endangered species but not at the rate that they are kill other creatures, destroying land and damaging marine habitats with pollution. With humans out of the picture earth would be a much happier and healthier place for all the living and breathing things that live there. Humans contribute to much harm and supply to little good to make up for what their doing. The history of humans was filled with death and loss, the present of humans is filled with death and loss and the future can only be predicted and with the path their following it’s heading the same way.
